Due to the limitation of airport land use,most of the multi runway airports in China are in the form of short distance parallel runway layout,which leads to the frequent occurrences of landing aircraft crossing the take-off runway when the airport is in high traffic density operation.In this way,on the one hand,it increases the potential risk of runway invasion,increases the pressure of airport operation safety,on the other hand,it directly restricts the airport operation efficiency and reduces the runway capacity.Under this background,a new type of taxiway,end-around taxiway,is put forward abroad.It has been proved that the taxiway can reduce the frequency of aircraft crossing the runway to a certain extent,effectively reduce the risk of runway intrusion,and improve the runway capacity.However,The taxiway design started late in our country.In the "technical standard for flight area of civil airport",there is no comprehensive introduction to the basis,conditions and requirements for the setting of the end-around taxiway.Even though some domestic airports have set up an end-around taxiway,due to lack of operating experience,the function of the taxiway has not been fully played.For this reason,this paper makes a further study on the basis of setting,design requirements and use strategies of the end-around taxiway of the airport with short distance parallel runway,so as to provide a theoretical basis for improving the technical standards of the airport's flight area,optimizing the airport's runway and taxiway structure,and improving the safety and efficiency of the airport's ground operation.This paper takes the end-around taxiway as the research object,through the numerical calculation and simulation,according to the flight operation condition of the specific airport,puts forward the detour design scheme and use strategy suitable for the airport.At first,the paper systematically analyzed and compared the ground operation safety of the aircraft in and out of the multi runway airport which is located on the same side of the runway before and after setting up the end-around taxiway,and established the runway capacity evaluation model based on the crossing and the end-around taxiway.Secondly,the paper introduced the types and operation characteristics of the end-around taxiway,and summarizedthe standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization(ICAO)and the Federal Aviation Administration(FAA)for the design of the end-around taxiway in the airport design,and analyzed the restrictions of the end-around taxiway design,including the restrictions of the limited plane of the clearance,navigation facilities and visual shelter.Then,according to the ground operation rules of the aircraft,taking the minimum average flight taxiing time as the goal,the paper established the model of the end-around taxiway operation,analyzed the influence of the frequency of crossing the runway,the traffic density of the take-off runway and the change of the take-off and landing ratio on the use of the end-around taxiway operation,and summarized the strategy of the end-around taxiway operation.Finally,taking Jiangbei Airport in Chongqing which does not set the end-around taxiway as an example,this paper analyzed the basis of the airport's end-around taxiway,designed the specific end-around taxiway configuration suitable for the airport,calculated the current situation for the use of end-around taxiway based on the end-around taxiway operation model,and puted forward the strategy of using the airport's end-around taxiway.At last,the paper used the software of anylogic to further simulate the selection of the aircraft's ground taxi routs before and after the setting of end-around taxiway in Chongqing Jiangbei Airport,and verified the rationality of the strategy of using the end-around taxiway.
