In the oil, gas, and mineral industries, every year a large number of pipelines are scrapped due to perforations caused by corrosion, erosion and wear. The reason is the case of solid-liquid two-phase mixed fluid or even three-phase mixed fluid, when particles-containing fluid flows through the pipeline, such as bends, the solid particles impact and slide on the surface, which is particularly prone to wear.Continuous wear may cause the pipeline to lose its effectiveness. Therefore,it is very important to study the wear mechanism and anti-wear measures of pipelines.Based on the idea of changing the shape of the pipe wall surface in order to reduce the wear, this paper uses the CFD-DEM coupling method to simulate the wear of the outer wall surface of the bend pipe with bump. This paper compares the wear experiment results with the simulation results to verify the feasibility of adding bumps to reduce the maximum wear on the outer wall surface of the bend pipe and the accuracy of the simulation method.Subsequently, this paper uses the orthogonal test method to find the key factors that affect the wear by adding grooves to the outer wall surface of the bend pipe, and conducts in-depth research and analysis of this factor The main research contents are as follows(1)In this paper,CFD software and DEM software are used to calculate the wear conditions of the outer wall surfaces of four types of bend pipes with bump and bare bend pipe.In this paper, under conditions of different particle mass flow, different inlet speed, and different particle size, the influence of different bump position on the outer wall wear is analyzed. It is found that the wear resistance of the convex setting is closely related to the concentration and position.Better in the middle of the bend than near the entrance and exit(2)This paper set up a solid-liquid two-phase abrasion test bench for bend pipes, and perform wear experiments with particle concentrations of 1-10%,and four bump positions for each particle concentration.Comparing the experimental results with the simulation results,it is found that the wear change law is basically consistent. The experimental results of the maximum wear value of the outer wall surface are slightly larger than the simulation results. The bump wear deformation causes the reduction of the maximum wear capacity of the outer wall surface(3)Based on the orthogonal test design simulation scheme, the effects of factors such as groove depth, groove width, and groove position angle on the outer wall wear of a bend pipe with grooves were studied, the results show that the groove depth is the key factor of stand wear. After in-depth study of it,it was found that under different particle mass flow rates, the relationship between the groove depth and the maximum wear of the outer wall surface will change.
