Compared with analog power supply,digital power supply has been widely concerned by researchers and power market because of its strong computing ability,fast response speed,easy to monitor and so on.How to design a practical digital power supply with small volume,low cost and strong performance is the focus of this paper.This paper first analyzes the types of digital power supply and the actual market demand.Considering the cost,the rapidity of development,the economy and the basic demand of the market,it is concluded that the digital power supply based on ARM STM32 series chip can effectively reduce the cost compared with the digital power supply based on DSP chip of TI company under the condition of the same control performance.Taking STM32 of ST company as the main control chip of this project,by using incremental PID algorithm and integral separation PID algorithm as software design algorithm,taking H bridge Buck-boost circuit topology as the main circuit design framework,a digital power supply which can complete program control output and various fault alarm display is designed.The main content of this paper includes four parts.Firstly,the STM32 based on ARM is selected as the main control chip of this project,and then the hardware design of the main control circuit based on Buck-Boost is carried out.The hardware circuit mainly includes the power main circuit,drive circuit,detection circuit and OLED display circuit composed of MOS transistor;then the software design based on PID algorithm is carried out,and the steps of programming,compilation and burning are completed.Finally,the software and hardware are adjusted together,and the design requirements of constant voltage and constant current control,UART communication and OLED screen display are completed.After testing,the low power digital power supply designed in this paper meets the requirements of the original design index.It is shown that although there are two ways of digital power supply based on MCU or DSP as the main control circuit,the digital power supply based on ARM is still a good control mode at the present stage from the aspects of design rapidity,volume,cost and so on.
