Guizhou is an area where is primarily dominated by plateaus and mountains with plateaus,highlands,and mountain lands accounting for about 87% of the total area of the province,hills accounting for 10%,and basins,river terraces,and valleys accounting for merely 3%.It's obvious that a range of tasks such as site leveling,foundation excavation,as well as treatment of foundation pits,and slopes should be done in the process of construction for a development and construction project.Moreover,detailed exploitation and design are also required before project construction.At first,information concerning geological and environmental conditions,hydro-geological conditions and geotechnical engineering conditions of the project area can be acquired through investigation,which can lay a foundation for providing related parameters and reasonable proposals on the bearing stratum and the basic design of the constructed project.What's more,treatment suggestions and controlling measures can be also put forward to the areas with hidden danger of geological hazards and unfavorable geological process.The proceeding of the project can be guaranteed as long as the six liability units(incl.the survey unit,the design unit,the construction unit,the supervision unit,the development unit,and the inspection and testing unit)can do well in their jobs and implement the work in accordance with national laws and regulations.The engineering quality could be affected by any problem resulted from negligence or force majeures of the involving units,especially those quality problems found in the foundation and slope supporting.Targeted at the problems found in the pile foundation and slide-resistant piles for slope supporting in the construction process of a multiple-use building,the site suitability of project construction is evaluated on the basis of investigating environmental geological conditions of the research area as well as evaluating geotechnical analysis,hydrogeological engineering,and karst impact.Besides,slide-resistant piles and pile foundations are tested with the low-strain method and core drilling method,so as to evaluate the integrity of the pile body.Meanwhile,rock and soil samples as well as concrete samples are tested to evaluate whether the strength of the foundation bearing stratum and concrete can meet the requirements.Finally,a study of analyzing the stability of the slope supporting engineering is conducted to find out the causes of quality problems through evaluating the allowable deviations of the perpendicularity and the pile position in line with the comparison of measured data of pile positions,which can be used for reference in the case of similar problems occurring in other construction projects.
