Yacht is an economy.Yacht industry has the characteristics of high return rate and strong driving force.With the progress of technology and the development of materials,yacht design methods and construction methods have also achieved great development.The yacht industry in mainland China started late,lacking of yacht design and manufacturing talents,and lacking of its own core technology,which greatly restricted the development of yacht industry in China.Based on this situation,this paper carries out preliminary design researches on the relevant parameters and performance of 16 m high-speed yacht,and gets some useful design methods and conclusions,which can be used for reference for peer practitioners.Firstly,taking one 16 m high-speed yacht as an example,this paper proceeds from the preliminary scale design of the yacht,and carries out the hull shape design according to the empirical formula and relevant software.The results show that in the early stage of yacht design,the main dimension information of yacht design can be obtained by semi-empirical formula,and the design boat type that satisfies the main dimension parameters of the target yacht can be obtained by linear transformation.Secondly,from the practical and functional point of view,the overall layout design is carried out,as well as the hull structure design according to the relevant specifications.The research shows that the general layout design of yacht should not only meet the requirements of center of gravity,but also consider the requirements of navigation vision and blind area,convenience and comfort of cabin layout.Thirdly,the method of hydrodynamic characteristic analysis is studied by using semi-theoretical semi-empirical formula and CFD software.Combined with the hydrodynamic calculation and analysis results,the resistance calculation of the boat based on SolidWorks 3D model and fluent software is carried out.The results show that in the range of 20 kn to 29 kn,Murry method is more accurate than Chajie method,while in the range of 30 kn and above,Chajie method is more accurate than Murry method.Finally,the power of the main engine of the target boat is estimated and selected by the CFD simulation value,and the shafting and propeller are designed according to the specification.The design method of high-speed yacht proposed in this paper can be used in the engineering design of one 16 m high-speed yacht,and also has certain guiding significance for the design of similar types of high-speed yachts.
