SCADA has become the most widely used production process control and dispatching automation system in power plants due to its relatively complete state monitoring,automatic control and fast alarm functions.However,the SCADA of power plants also exposes problems such as poor fault tracing ability,weak ability to deal with complex faults,easy to generate communication delay,etc.Especially when a complex fault occurs in a generator unit,the SCADA of the power plant can’t give the cause of the fault,or even will pop up the fault information crazily to interfere with the monitoring of unit status and the timely judgment of failure causes by the operation and maintenance personnel.To solve the above problems,we have built a power plant condition monitoring and fault diagnosis platform,which integrates SCADA with condition detection and fault diagnosis.Due to the increase of data types and data volume,and the increase of communication volume,the original SCADA architecture and data transmission mechanism cannot give full consideration to both real-time and communication load,Therefore,this paper studies the information transmission of power plant condition monitoring and fault diagnosis platform.Firstly,the paper analyzes the data requirements of the status monitoring and fault diagnosis platform,completes the data classification and plans the data transmission process of the platform.Then,the data delay problem of traditional SCADA is studied,and a real-time monitoring method of data delay of SCADA system is proposed,which is applied to the upgrading and reconstruction project of SCADA of tail hydropower station of Chongqing Jiguanshi Sewage Treatment Plant.In view of the fact that the traditional point-to-point C/S mode cannot meet the technical requirements of the power plant condition monitoring and fault diagnosis platform,a new communication mode is explored and the packet communication mechanism is applied to the platform.A method of grouping according to demand category and update frequency is proposed.The data transfer method is the combination of database access,multicast,unicast and file server(FTP),which balances the bandwidth occupation and real-time performance of data transmission.Finally,the above methods are verified by simulation.
