With the continuous development of high-rise buildings,the requirements of foundation bearing capacity and settlement deformation are higher and higher.In composite foundation,pile length plays an important role in the improvement of bearing capacity,but in order to exert the strength and deformation control effect of pile,the end of pile often needs high-strength bearing layer.At the same time,the pile does not have the function of lateral limit,and can not make full use of the bearing capacity of foundation soil.The confined foundation is different from the traditional composite foundation,in which the end of confined body can be independent of the high strength bearing layer,but by controlling the lateral deformation of the foundation soil,the overall performance of the foundation is improved to meet the bearing requirements of the building.In the side limited foundation,not only the depth of the foundation is shallow,but also the side limited function of the side limited body makes the foundation soil produce the stress concentration effect and give full play to the bearing capacity of the foundation soil.Compared with the traditional composite foundation,the construction of the side limited foundation is simple and the economic benefit is high.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the influence of confined body depth on the bearing capacity of foundations under confined conditions.In this paper,five groups of lateral limited foundation with different reinforcement depth are tested and analyzed.Then the numerical simulation is carried out on the basis of the indoor test.Finally,the change rule of the stress ratio is verified according to the test data in the engineering example.The following main results were obtained through research on the above contents:(1)Through the indoor model test,we can get the improvement degree of the bearing capacityand the control effect of the settlement deformation of the limited foundation with different reinforcement depth under the vertical load,At the same time,we can analyze the change rule of the stress of the lateral limited body and the stress ratio between the lateral limited body and the foundation soil under different depth conditions.(2)Based on the indoor model test,the numerical simulation analysis of the lateral limited foundation is carried out.The results show that the load settlement change,the stress distribution of the lateral limited body and the change rule of the stress ratio between the lateral limited body and the foundation are consistent with the indoor test results,which shows the rationality of the numerical simulation.(3)Through numerical simulation tests on lateral limited foundation,the stress and settlement laws of the soil core in lateral limited body at different depths are obtained.The result shows that the stress and settlement in the middle of the soil core change the most.At the same time,the settlement changes of the foundation soil below the end of the lateral limited body are analyzed.It is concluded that the settlement deformation of the lateral limited foundation is mainly the compression deformation of the foundation soil in a certain depth under the end of the lateral limited body.(4)According to the monitoring data in the engineering example,the change curve of the stress ratio in the foundation with side limit is drawn,and the change rule of the stress ratio between the lateral limited body and the foundation soil in the model test is verified.
