With the development of the world economy, the increase in traffic volume and the occurrence of heavy loads have led to higher and higher requirements for road quality. As one of the most widely used modifiers,SBS has gradually started to be difficult to meet the needs of the status quo, showing some shortcomings, which has encouraged scholars to continue to seek new materials to optimize the road surface.Since its discovery, nanomaterials have been widely used in all walks of life, because of its special properties,it is different from other materials.Carbon nanotubes,as a kind of nanomaterials, have shown excellent performance in many aspects due to their unique spatial structure. This paper combines the previous research to study the performance of carbon nanotube/SBS composite modified asphalt and mixture, and draws the following conclusions:In order to investigate the effect of carbon nanotubes on SBS modified asphalt, firstly, the high and low temperature and aging of carbon nanotubes on SBS modified asphalt under different dosages were analyzed through three major indicators,DSR,short-term aging and ultraviolet aging test. The influence of performance, and determined that the optimal dosage of carbon nanotubes is 0.5%.Then,through infrared spectroscopy, the changes of functional groups during the ultraviolet aging process of carbon nanotube/SBS composite modified asphalt were explored, and the mechanism of carbon nanotubes to improve the aging performance of SBS modified asphalt was analyzed from a chemical perspective using two-dimensional infrared correlation spectroscopy. The analysis of the experimental results shows that the incorporation of carbon nanotubes can effectively improve the high-temperature and aging properties of SBS modified asphalt, and as the content increases, the improvement effect is more obvious.During the ultraviolet aging process of composite modified asphalt, the changes of functional groups mainly focus on the degradation of butadiene in SBS,the formation of oxygen-containing functional groups and the mutual conversion of methyl and methylene groups.Among them, the degradation of SBS is the most serious, and seriously affects the subsequent changes of other functional groups. The incorporation of carbon nanotubes can play a role in maintaining stability in modified asphalt and reduce the degree of change of various functional groups in modified asphalt. Finally, select AC-16 gradation, configure the composite modified asphalt mixture according to the optimal content of carbon nanotubes, and pass the rut test and trabecular bending test to mix 0.5%carbon nanotubes with SBS modified asphalt. The impact of various properties of materials is studied. As a result,it was found that carbon nanotubes can significantly improve the high-temperature performance of the asphalt mixture, and increase the water stability and low-temperature performance of the asphalt mixture to a small extent when the amount is not large.
