At present, curved beam bridges are increasingly used in urban overpasses and highways, and their seismic performance has attracted much attention. On the one hand, the force of the bridge pier of a curved beam bridge is complicated, and the influence of different pier-beam connection forms on the force of the bridge pier is not clear. On the other hand,non-smooth multi-body dynamics combined with linear complementarity theory has been used to analyze the collision displacement of the superstructure of the curved beam bridge, but it does not take into account the restraining effect of the support and the pier column, and cannot establish a relationship with the actual earthquake damage.Based on this, through the laboratory test, finite element analysis and on-site vibration test, the seismic response and seismic performance of curved girder bridges with different pier-beam connection forms are explored. The main contents of the paper are as follows:1.Summarized the seismic damage performance and characteristics of curved beam bridges in historical earthquakes, and elaborated the current research status of the seismic performance of curved beam bridges and spherical bearings2.Through the compression and shear test, the mechanical properties of the spherical sliding bearing under compression and shear were investigated, and the characteristics of the hysteresis curve under different working conditions were analyzed.Using the finite element software ABAQUS,a fine model was established for the support used in the experiment, and a numerical simulation comparison was carried out.Combined with the research results of Constantinou and other scholars, the sliding friction characteristics of the horizontal sliding surface of the spherical support were explored.3.The shaking table test of the small radius curve beam bridge of 1/5 scale model was carried out.The middle pier adopts two connection forms of pier beam consolidation and approximate fixed support. The response characteristics, failure modes under the earthquakes and the damage situation under different levels of earthquakes are analyzed.Through numerical analysis, the response phenomena of the two different modes of the connection of the upper and lower structures at the middle pier under the same ground motion input are compared, and the characteristics of the influence of the change of the connection method on the seismic performance are summarized.4.Using the Midas Civil finite element software to model a curved continuous beam bridge experiencing earthquake damage;through the model correction and seismic response analysis of the on-site vibration test after the earthquake, the mechanism of earthquake damage of the curved beam bridge was explored. The connection method of pier and beam at the part of the bridge was changed(The original spherical bearing is changed to pier-beam consolidation,multi-lead rubber bearing and high damping rubber bearing),and a comparative analysis was conducted to discuss the influence of different connection methods between pier and beam on the seismic performance of curved bridges.
