Interference connection is realized by interference fit between parts,which has many advantages such as simple structure,good centering precision and so on,and is widely used in engineering.However,due to the large stress concentration at the edge of the mating surface,it is easy to cause damage to the parts,which makes the use of interference connection structure have certain potential safety hazards.In order to better study the mechanical characteristics of interference fit connection structure and seek a more reasonable and reliable design method,this paper studies the stress and stress concentration behavior of interference fit connection structure with cylindrical surface in detail with ANSYS,and puts forward the design method of reducing stress concentration.The specific contents of the paper are as follows:In view of the problem that friction coefficient is not considered in the existing contact stress calculation formula,the influence of friction coefficient on contact stress of cylindrical interference fit connection structure is studied in detail by finite element numerical experiment,and the corresponding correction formula is put forward.The stress concentration behavior of interference fit is studied in detail,and it is found that there may be stress singularity at the edge of the contact surface.Based on this,a method for evaluating stress concentration degree based on point stress criterion is proposed.The example shows that this method can reasonably calculate the stress concentration degree of interference fit connection structure.The stress concentration behavior of cylindrical interference fit connection structure is studied by using the proposed stress concentration calculation method,and the influence of basic design dimensions(interference,joint diameter,joint width,diameter of the contained part and the contained part,etc.)and chamfer structure on the hub on stress concentration is analyzed.Then,through numerical experiments,the factors affecting the stress concentration degree are analyzed from the perspective of structural stiffness distribution,and reasonable explanations are given,which provides an effective idea for structural design to reduce stress concentration.Some existing structural designs for reducing stress concentration are studied,the influence of corresponding design parameters is analyzed in detail,and reasonable suggestions are given.Finally,a new structural design method to reduce stress concentration is proposed from the angle of adjusting structural stiffness distribution.The example shows that the proposed design method can effectively reduce or even eliminate stress concentration of interference fit connection structure.
