Lithium-ion batteries have been widely used in portable equipment and transportation as well as intermittent energy storage devices.The abundant potassium resources make potassium-ion batteries have a good research prospect.Biomass is one of the important sources of carbon materials.In this paper,biomass carbon electrode materials for potassium ion batteries were successfully prepared by high temperature decomposition.The microstructure was characterized by SEM,XRD and BET.The potassium storage performance was studied by CV,constant current charge-discharge and EIS using 0.8 M KPF6(EC:DEC=1:1)as electrolyte.Dandelion seeds,pomelo peel and maize straw material source was carbided at different time under 400?,600? and 800? to make the pyrolysis of biomass carbon electrode materials.Results prepared by the research show that the carbonization of dandelion seeds under 800? and at 2 h has good hierarchical structure,reservoir potassium best performance;with 146 mAh/g reversible specific capacity,and good cycle and rate performance.The discharge specific capacity of 49 mAh/g is still maintained at 1000 mA/g high current density.The charge transfer resistance wad relatively low,at 993 ?.Under 800?,the dandelion seeds for a living material source,using KOH,K2CO3,ZnCl2 and FeCl3 as activator,with the activator:dandelion seed=0:1,0.5:1,1:1 and 2:1,was carbided to make the porous carbon electrode materials.Results prepared by the research show that in KOH:the dandelion seeds=1:1,the porous carbon materials with the specific surface of 988.3 m2/g show better performance of potassium storage,with 226 mAh/g high reversible specific capacity,and low capacity attenuation and good cycle stability.The discharge specific capacity of 126 mAh/g was obtained at 1000 mA/g high current density.And it had lower charge transfer resistance,at 404 ?.Compared with the inactivated biomaterials,potassium storage performance has been greatly improved.
