With the rapid development of domestic and international economy,water transportation has become an increasingly important means of transportation,and navigation safety can be described as one of the basic conditions for the development of water transportation industry,so research on navigation safety has also continued to pay attention.Due to the continuous development of science and technology,people have a new understanding of the ship’s second-generation complete stability failure mode.In recent years,the International Maritime Organization has clarified the ship’s complete stability failure mode.Surf-riding/broaching,loss of pure stability,stability of paralyzed ships and excessive acceleration[1].Further researches on the applicable ship type and navigation environment,and the factors affecting the failure probability have made the structure of the five failure modes clearer and more complete,and their applicability It is more extensive and the judgment is more scientific and effective,so that the safety of navigation is effectively improved.As one of the five criteria,the surf-riding/broaching weakness criterion can be used to judge whether the ship surf-riding/broaching stability failure phenomenon will occur when the ship is sailing under the waves,which is an important guarantee for the safety of navigation.The main work contents are as follows:(1)The selected research ship type is modeled by CATIA and imported into CAESES software.The ship type transformation is carried out by adjusting the six ship type parameters of length L,width B,depth D,waterline area coefficient,square coefficient and longitudinal position of buoy,generating a series of ship types;(2)In depth study the latest official draft of the second layer of surf-riding/broaching vulnerability criterion,and carry out secondary development for the software of surf-riding/broaching vulnerability developed by our research group,so as to increase the function of outputting relevant intermediate results;(3)Sort out,ranking of the ship model parameters on the second-floor ride probability of surf-riding/broaching,and explore the internal factors affecting the failure probability,and give the new ship design suggestions for development.
