| Since the enrollment expansion in colleges and universities in 1999,the development of high education in China has been booming and the reform of high education has been continuously deepened.Under the background,colleges and universities are urged to construct new campus buildings or choose the new sites for branch campus in order to meet the need for education and communication in teaching,which undoubtedly increases the financial burden of universities.On the other side,the colleges and universities have some building relics for some industrial purposes in early years which have lost their original function meeting the university need in production and which are record of the history of universities.Thus,it is a waste of resources as well as a damage of campus culture to demolish the industrial heritages for new construction of buildings.Therefore,it is advisable to reform and reuse the relics in colleges and universities.This article mainly focuses on study of industrial relics in early year ’ s expansion which do not adapt to current space layout in universities,aiming at summarizing the reconstruction measures and means of different building style and structures in universities.The article covers three levels:Firstly,the preliminary introduction to the background of industrial heritage reconstruction in universities and the related research status are elaborated to define the study scope of industrial heritages in universities,while the significance and purpose of the study are put forward followed by the study framework.Secondly,the Chapter 2 listed the origin of industrial relics in universities,the benefit as well as the problem in the reconstruction and reuse of them.Based on that,the 3rd chapter depicts the convenience and advantages of the relics reuse exemplified by industrial relic reconstruction in campus at home and abroad in order to present the necessity and the difficulty in the reconstruction and reuse.As one of the core part,Chapter 4 analyzes comparatively 3 cases in the aspects of structure processing,function replacement,space shaping and ecological technology and study the commonality of industrial relic reconstruction by comparison of the cases.The other core chapter,the 5th chapter illustrates the reconstruction principles and steps,and concludes the regeneration strategy for designing the reconstruction of industrial relics in colleges and universities at the facets including internal,external design and ecological energy-saving.Figure[62]table[5]reference[70]... |
