The cable is one of the main force component of the cable-stayed bridge,and it is easy to vibrate under various factors.The rain-wind-induced vibration is a kind of large amplitude and low frequency vibration,and the damage is the most serious.Many scholars of the word have done much research on the characteristics about the rain-wind-induced vibration of cable,but there are many shortcomings in the existing theoretical models.A new theoretical model of rain-wind-induced vibration of cable is established in this paper,which base on the existing theoretical models.And the vibration characteristics of the rain-wind-induced vibration of cable are analyzed.The nonlinear analysis of the rain-wind-induced vibration of cable is carried out,by using relatively reasonable tow freedoms theoretical model of rain-wind-induced vibration of segmental cable with moving rivulet.The influences of wind velocity,wind yaw angle,cable damping ratio and Coulomb damping force on the rain-wind-induced vibration of cable are studied.The theoretical model of free vibration of continuous elastic cable with which base on static catenary curve is established.The difference between the theoretical model of free vibration of continuous elastic cable which base on static catenary curve and static parabola curve are compared by calculating the natural frequency of the cable.The influences of cable length,cable quality,cable tension and cable tension on the natural frequency of the cable are analyzed.The theoretical model of rain-wind-induced vibration of continuous elastic cable with moving rivulet which base on static catenary curve is established,by considering the interactive between the rivulet and the cable surface are Coulomb damping force and the viscous linear damping force.The difference between the theoretical model of rain-wind-induced vibration of continuous elastic cable which base on static catenary curve and static parabola curve are analyzed.The difference of rain-wind-reduced vibration characteristics between the cable have different natural frequencies are compared.The vibration characteristics of cable,the distribution regularity of rivulet along cable,the influences of the initial wind velocity on the rain-wind-induced vibration of cable,and the influence of main vibration mode and aerodynamic forces on rain-wind-reduced vibration are analyzed.In this paper,the consistency of using static catenary curve are proved,the characteristics rain-wind-induced vibration of cable are analyzed,provides a goodreference for the study of the rain-wind-induced vibration of cable.
