During the construction of highway bridges, the safety of road and bridge transitions has been valued by people. The phenomenon of jumping at the bridgehead is not uncommon. However, there is no complete set of theories at home and abroad for the management of road and bridge transitions. This article takes a road and bridge transition section in Fiji as an example, uses MIDAS GTS NX finite element software to perform model analysis, and explores the influence of piles, grids, and slabs on the settlement of the road and bridge transition section.Theoretically analyze the disease of the road and bridge transition section, and provide a reference for the construction of the road and bridge transition section. For this project,it is proposed to analyze the settlement law of different combinations of piles, slabs and grids, optimize the project according to three factors, and pre-select a set of more optimal plans and use this as the original plan. After simulation,it is found that the key governance area is within 10 m from the back of the platform. The combination of pile foundation combined with grid and slab has a good effect on the settlement control of the road and bridge transition section. It is known through simulation comparison that the pile foundation and the slab have a greater impact on the settlement than the grid. However, the original scheme is not an ideal scheme for dealing with the transition section of the road and bridge. So,it is necessary to continuously change the pile foundation length, the thickness of the slab and the length of the grid to explore thoroughly.According to the simulation results, the settlement of bridge transition section can be effectively controlled by the reasonable combination and optimization combination to solve the problem of bridge head jumping.
