Study On Calibration Method And Device Of TACAN Simulator

TACAN system is a kind of radio radar equipment which provides short-range navigation information for aircraft.It plays an important role in ensuring flight safety.TACAN simulator is a simulation device designed and manufactured according to the real TACAN working principle and signal characteristics.It is used in the test,maintenance and pre-flight inspection of airborne and ground platform TACAN system.The existing calibration equipment of TACAN simulator is built by general equipment such as spectrum analyzer.It only has the measurement function of amplitude and frequency,and can not measure other important performance parameters such as azimuth and distance.Therefore,it is necessary to study the calibration method and device of TACAN simulator.Firstly,aiming at the requirement of multi-parameter measurement such as amplitude,frequency,azimuth and distance of TACAN simulator,the overall design scheme of TACAN Simulator Calibration Device Based on Virtual Instrument Technology of PXI bus is proposed.Secondly,the method of measuring the azimuth and distance of TACAN simulator is studied.The sinusoidal phase comparison principle is used to transform the azimuth measurement from several parameters such as modulation degree,phase and time to only measure the time parameters,which optimizes the measurement method.Based on the principle of synchronous triggering of guided pulse,the delay time of equipment signal is accurately measured and the measurement accuracy is improved.Thirdly,the hardware platform of TACAN simulator calibration device is designed.Aiming at the need of the calibration device to simulate the precision standard signal source of TACAN,the standard signal source of TACAN is designed.Because the access terminal of TACAN simulator has the following functions:In order to solve the problem of 40 dB attenuation,a pulse power amplifier is designed to amplify the signal,and an automatic calibration software is developed by using Lab view software design idea,which realizes the automatic measurement of all performance parameters of TACAN simulator?The calibration device of TACAN simulator designed and developed realizes the measurement and calibration of all parameters of TACAN simulator.It provides technical means for aircraft repair and guarantee enterprises to carry out TACAN simulator calibration,and provides guarantee for aircraft maintenance and flight training safety.
