As the main load-bearing capacity of the entire structure,the strength of the steel cable cannot be ignored,and its damage occurs from time to time.The mechanical properties of the cable are to be studied,and the application scope of the epoxy-coated steel cable includes new construction And the existing bridge repair project,in which the monofilament epoxy coated steel stranded cable has better durability and corrosion resistance than the ordinary steel stranded cable.In recent years,scholars have conducted a certain amount of research on the impact resistance of different types of cables and different components,but there is little research on the impact resistance of single component monofilament coated epoxy coated steel strand cables.In this paper,we use the data obtained by experiments to study its impact resistance performance,and use the LS-DYSA module in the finite element software ANSYS to establish a finite element model for simulation calculation.The main work and results are as follows:(1)By studying the structure of monofilament-coated epoxy-coated steel strands,the friction coefficient values between the strands of smooth steel strands are obtained,and later effective contact parameters are provided for the calculation of finite element simulation.(2)Through the introduction of the basic theory of the stress wave of flexible materials,when the steel strand is impacted,the damage mode and phenomenon of the steel strand are studied through the wave transmission method.And on the basis of theory,it is verified that the main factors that affect the impact performance,such as impact height and drop weight,are related to the impact energy.(3)The impact test was carried out by using the impact device of the structural laboratory.During the test,different conditions such as the size of the prestress and the impact height of the falling weight were measured to measure the required experimental data.And by specifying and changing a specific factor for comparison,the impact resistance of epoxy-coated steel strands can be studied more specifically;the test results are compared with smooth steel strands.Under the same impact conditions,the advantages and disadvantages of the impact resistance of epoxy-coated steel strands are obtained through data analysis and comparison.(4)Through the LS-dyna module in the finite element software ANSYS,establish the model of the same size as the test,and verify the impact speed parameters,friction coefficient between the strands and other parameters against the impact performance.And through the comparison of the fitting of the test data and the simulation data,it summarizes the difference of the impact resistance of the steel strand under different conditions.
