With the development and utilization of marine resources,more and more marine structures are widely arranged.However,the severe marine environment poses a great threat to the safety of floating structures and personnel on the sea,which seriously affects their normal operation.Floating breakwater,as a shelter for platforms and other structures,floats up and down or swings back and forth under the action of waves.Through reflection and dissipation of waves,water quality point movement is disturbed,and wave elimination and energy reduction are finally realized to protect the safety of structures.In the process of wave protection,the floating breakwater will be hit by significant waves,which will affect the safety of the floating breakwater.In this paper,taking Xisha sea area in south China sea as the design sea condition,and based on CFD technology,the slamming phenomenon,motion response and wave elimination effect of the box floating breakwater are numerically calculated.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on the numerical flume technology,the simulation analysis method of the float-type breakwater’s slamming response is realized.The numerical simulation calculation of the floating body’s motion response and the wave slamming response is carried out respectively through the existing model,and the calculation results are compared with the experimental results and theoretical results to verify the correctness of the method.(2)Taking a typical floating breakwater as an example,this paper studies the distribution characteristics of the slamming load of floating breakwater under different working conditions,further explores the variation law of the slamming load under wave height and periodic change,and compares the values of the slamming load of floating breakwater under different anchoring modes,and finally obtains the effect of the mooring modes to wave slamming..(3)The hydrodynamic performance and wave dissipating performance of floating breakwater under the action of wave slamming load are studied in order to analysis motion responses and transmission coefficients when the wave height and period changes.In addition,the motion response and wave dissipating effect of floating breakwater under different anchoring modes are compared.(4)Taking the typical working conditions in the south China sea as an example,the local strength of the floating breakwater under the action of the slamming load was analyzed to obtain the stress distribution trend of the local structure,and the strength was checked based on the stress calculation results.
