Study On The Characteristics Of Baby Care Room In Public Places And Its Influence Factors

As a public service facility designed to encourage breastfeeding and embody the ultimate service of social care,Baby Care Room(BCR)has high social and human value to the city.In recent years,countries and regions have begun to attach importance to the construction of the BCR.However,Chinese BCR is still in developing.With the large number of BCRs put into use,a series of problems have been exposed: the implementation of standard specifications has not kept pace with the construction of BCRs;the irrationality of the construction has also brought inefficient difficulties to subsequent use and management.How to choose a reasonable place and building standard is one of the issues that should be paid attention to in the field of urban planning.Currently,the research focuses more on the internal environment factors of BCR,and rarely mentions the relationship between the use of BCR and the built environment.Therefore,this article explores the environment inside the premises which has the BCR,considering the relationship between baby and carrier travel behavior and built environment,researching the neighborhood environment of BCR,and explores the factors that affect the use of BCR more comprehensive.In this paper,the BCR in a public place is taken as the research object,and the Bao'an District of Shenzhen City is used as an empirical case.The environmental characteristics of the BCR in a public place are analyzed,including the location and the built environment characteristics of the interior of the BCR;Environmental characteristics of the neighborhood around the BCR.At the level of usage characteristics,the user group diversity,usage time,frequency,and peak hours of the use were analyzed.Among them,the user group diversity and frequency were represented to the use of BCRs.Based on the results of statistical analysis,founding the correlation between the use of BCR and environmental factors,that is,the characteristics of the use of BCRs in public places are directly affected by the environment inside the premises factors.At the same time,the neighborhood environment factors such as the type of the public place,the travel environment and so on,influencing the user's behaviors to indirectly affects the use of the BCR.Based on the related research of BCRs and the relationship of the built environment and travel activities in the field of urban planning,this paper selects environmental factors that may affect the use of BCRs in public places,and analyzes by constructing an ordered multi-class logistic regression model.After analyzed the relationship among the frequency of use and the diversity of users with the environment inside the premises and the neighborhood environment,found that the use of BCR is not only related to the internal architectural environmental factors,but also because of the impact of the external built environment on carrying baby travel activities,indirectly affected by the neighborhood environmental factors.Finally,combined with the analysis of the results and the actual situation,this paper proposes a strategy for the BCR in public places and makes specific suggestions for the BCRs in Bao'an District.
