With the rise of digital image sensors(CCD,CMOS),image processing becomes more convenient and fast,which makes the panoramic camera more widely used,and has a broad application prospect in monitoring,detection and entertainment equipment.In recent decades,panoramic camera has developed.At present,there are two main disadvantages of the existing panoramic lens: the lack of central field of view and the small range of view in the loop field.The optical design part of this paper focuses on the improvement of these two aspects.According to the different imaging modes of the viewfinder,two kinds of imaging systems are designed,i.e.the loop panoramic camera and the turn back panoramic camera.The basic design requirements of both systems are the field of view(0-135 °)× 360 ° and the distortion is less than 1%.After the viewfinder and the relay lens are designed separately to meet their respective imaging requirements,they will be replaced Then,optimize the process.Among them,the view lens of turn back panoramic camera is imaged through primary reflection,the whole imaging system is long,the structure of relay lens group is complex,the imaging meets the design requirements,and the image quality is high;the view lens of loop panoramic camera selects the imaging structure of secondary reflection,the overall structure is simple,and the image quality is better on the basis of meeting the design requirements.The aspheric surface is used in both designs,and the optical materials are selected reasonably to complete the design.Compared with the previous panoramic camera structure,the two structures in the design simplify the overall structure of the system and greatly improve the imaging quality.The image processing part of this design mainly focuses on solving the problem of large distortion of large field of view imaging.Through camera calibration,image preprocessing,image matching,image fusion and image linear ring expansion,the image obtained by the two optical structures is processed to obtain the image that conforms to the observation law of human eyes.The design achieves a good effect of distortion removal and image mosaic.
