The vehicular ad hoc network is a network formed by the connection of mobile vehicles, which can effectively improve the safety and reliability of intelligent transportation systems. At present, vehicle terminals generate many traffic safety services such as safety warnings, vehicle collisions, etc.Although these safety services can ensure the road safety of vehicles, they require a millisecond level of processing speed, which poses new challenges to the processing and transmission of emergency messages. Therefore,in order to solve the problem of low latency and high reliability of message transmission, this paper introduces mobile edge computing, and mainly studies the optimization algorithm of vehicle communication emergency message transmission based on edge computing. The main research contents are as follows.First of all, aiming at the problem that the rapid movement of vehicles in the vehicular ad hoc network makes emergency messages redundant propagation, this paper proposes a non-redundant broadcast algorithm based on edge computing for emergency messages in the vehicular ad hoc network. The algorithm uses fuzzy logic to select a part of vehicles within the communication range of roadside units as edge vehicles. The on-board units installed on the edge vehicles and roadside units are responsible for processing emergency messages. And the edge vehicles can effectively transmit the emergency message within its communication range by the topology of the local network.Simulation results show that although the broadcast algorithm consumes extra routing overhead during message transmission, the algorithm has a good performance in terms of end-to-end transmission delay and message broadcast success ratio.Secondly, aiming at the problem that the competition of a large number of emergency messages generated by vehicle-mounted terminals on limited resources increases the delay of message processing, this paper proposes a secure message offloading scheme based on mobile edge computing in order to reduce the processing delay of messages. This scheme studies the optimal task offloading strategy for delay and energy loss, and formulates the main problem of delay and energy consumption. The Lagrangian relaxation method is used to deal with non-convex problems, and an effective priority task scheduling algorithm is deployed on the edge server.Simulation results show that although the energy loss of the strategy is increased compared to the energy optimal offloading algorithm, its processing delay is reduced by 15.3%compared with the DTOS algorithm.
