Distributed space system(DSS)is the development trend of micro satellite.Satellite cluster is a kind of distributed space system different from constellation and formation flying.Maintaining a fixed configuration is not needed,and the satellites only need to be kept in a certain region.This thesis addresses the control problem of satellite clusters composed of large area-to-mass ratio micro satellites,and the containment control method in distributed cooperative control of multi-agent system is applied.Based on the basic theory of algebraic graph theory,an algebraic graph model of micro satellite clusters communication/measurement topology is established.Based on CW equation,the containment control problem of micro satellite cluster is studied when the orbit of reference satellite is circular.The containment control algorithm is designed for two cases: Satellite obtains information through communication topology and measurement topology.The effectiveness of the designed control algorithm is verified by simulation examples.By comparing the controller design and simulation examples in two cases,it is found that information interaction by using communication topology can not eliminate the coupling effect of the relative motion of the satellites in three directions.Althogh using measurement equipment for information interaction requires more complicated on-board equipment,which will significantly increase the cost of a single satellite,it is more flexible during the design of controller.Considering the influence of J2 term and atmosphere perturbation,a containment control algorithm is designed for the large area-to-mass ratio micro satellite clusters with fixed communication topology.Furthermore,the influence of time-varying communication topology on containment control is studied.The communication between satellites can be determined by the distance between them.The effectiveness of the controller is verified by an example of a polar orbit micro satellite clusters with large area-to-mass ratio.The results show that,with the same initial conditions and parameters,if the communication topology between satellites is time-varying,it is more difficult and takes longer for the followers to keep up with the movement of the target area enclosed by the leaders,since the followers can not always receive the information of the leaders.
