Research And Practice Of Regional Culture In Urban Public Facilities Design

Public toilet is the product of the development of human society,but also a symbol of human cultural progress,a city's toilet design can reflect the level of civilization,as well as the city's cultural taste.With the rise of toilet revolution in recent years,people pay more and more attention to public toilets.Many designers turn to the detailed.design of public toilets,but the practice is still less,more still stay in the research stage.This article first from the perspective of regional culture,studied the present situation of domestic and foreign public toilets and introduces the urban outdoor public facilities,regional culture,history and development of urban outdoor public toilets,the concept and characteristics of regional culture,regional culture and the relationship between outdoor public facilities,design semiotics and so on related theory,and put forward the regional culture element extracted into a final design symbol of specific methods.Then,from the development of linfen in shanxi jin culture and characteristics,from three aspects including the characteristics of traditional folk culture features extraction,feature extraction,traditional architectural symbols of traditional pattern extraction,this paper introduces the regional culture,such as lie Niu Wen Hua linfen,shadow play,dragon culture,drama culture,power and prestige gongs,cave culture and traditional patterns in the performance of the urban public space,and combed the jin culture elements in the application of toilet culture.Then,through the above series of analysis,the key points of the design of linfen public toilet indoor environment based on linfen regional culture are proposed.It mainly includes the design of each function division of public toilet,and the design method of regional cultural elements in interior decoration,door,toilet,handrail,shelving,drying facilities,washbasin,lamps and lanterns.Finally,the design practice is carried out with the public toilet in the scenic spot of hukou waterfall as the case.On the basis of investigation,the design concept and positioning are clarified.Based on the extraction of regional cultural symbols,the interior decoration of the public toilet is designed in terms of doors,toilets,handrails,shelves,drying facilities,lamps and lanterns,etc.The importance and feasibility of regional culture in toilet design are also discussed.
