Development And Application Of BPMS System For Large-scale Project Of Macau

Gambling industry is a leading industry in Macao,which plays an important role in promoting social and economic development.The Macao SAR Government opened its gambling rights in 2002,actively introduced foreign investment and competition mechanism,realized the optimal allocation of resources,and further consolidated and promoted the "leading" position of gambling and tourism.Driven by the gambling industry,other industries in Macau have also achieved rapid development,which has accelerated the development of Macau as a gambling tourism center in Asia.In the construction industry,influenced by the driving role of gambling industry,Macao’s construction industry has also made considerable progress in the past two decades.According to relevant statistics,the gross domestic product of Macao’s construction industry was only 2.984 billion Macao dollars in 2002,but by 2014,it had grown rapidly to 78.150 billion Macao dollars.In recent years,the gross domestic product data of the construction industry is still growing.The rapid development of Macao’s construction industry has brought many opportunities and challenges to the local construction industry.It has also attracted many foreign builders to enter actively,making the competition in Macao’s construction market more intense.After the opening of blocking rights,many large gambling projects have been launched one after another,and the owners’ requirements for building quality and comfort have been constantly improved.This requires the construction unit to strengthen the construction management of the project under the condition of short construction period and high quality,to achieve the maximum benefit and profit from the management,so as to improve the construction quality and safety of the construction project,reduce the cost of the project and improve the competitiveness of the enterprise itself.Construction projects are systematic and comprehensive,belonging to capital-intensive projects,with large investment,high risks and benefits,and long construction cycle.From the establishment to completion of construction projects,it often involves many departments and links,each link is very important.How to scientifically manage the process of construction projects to achieve cost reduction,efficiency improvement and quality improvement is a problem that needs to be paid attention to and solved by current construction enterprises.Business process management system(BPMS)is an advanced management system based on information technology.After more than ten years of development,the research focus of the system is shifting from basic theory to system implementation and specific application.BPMS is developed on the basis of related business process change fields.It integrates the technical advantages of early workflow management,EAI,process automation,process integration,process modeling and process optimization.For construction enterprises,in their construction,each link will produce a large number of data information and documents to be processed every day.If these objects are not handled timely and accurately,they will have a great impact on the quality of construction projects and the progress of projects.If BPMS is applied to the construction of construction projects,it can manage all kinds of processes of construction projects with high efficiency and quality,make all kinds of resources needed for construction projects quickly and optimally allocated,promote the cooperation of various departments,deal with all kinds of information and problems timely and correctly,and make all kinds of decisions of construction projects more scientific and reasonable.Although BPMS is a new thing,it has also been applied in many enterprise project management and achieved good results.In order to study the application of BPMS system in large-scale construction projects,this paper chooses the "Shanghai Portugal Beijing" project in Macau as an example,and uses the methods of literature research,case study,investigation and interview.Then,on the basis of theoretical elaboration,this paper analyses BPMS and its specific application,and evaluates its application effect,hoping to provide some reference and reference for the scientific application of BPMS in large-scale gambling projects.
