| As the tide of construction of new campuses in colleges and universities gradually cools down, existing campus buildings are increasingly showing important resource values. These existing campus buildings carry the imprint of campus history and culture, with high cultural value and reuse value. However, there are some problems in the existing campus buildings that cannot be ignored. For example, the spatial layout is difficult to meet the existing functional requirements, and the comfort of use is poor.In this context, this paper will focus on the research of existing campus buildings, and explore strategies to improve the adaptability of building space to current diversified needs and future needs,in order to achieve the long-term use of existing campus resources.First, this paper takes Nanjing area as an example to conduct research and analysis on the existing campus buildings of typical universities.According to the characteristics of the layout, the campus buildings are divided into three types: linear layout, enclosed layout and centralized layout. It is found that the linear layout campus building has the highest proportion and the flat layout is the most representative. Therefore, the linear campus building is the key research object of this time.Through further investigation of the linear campus building,it analyzes and summarizes the existing main problems and paves the way for the optimization strategy.Secondly, based on the problems we found, the paper summarizes the long-term optimization strategies of linear campus buildings.Improving spatial adaptability is an important way to achieve long-term use of campus building space. The adaptive space can meet diverse and changing space requirements.Spatial adaptive design is achieved by studying structural adaptability, fixed space adaptive design, and variable spatial adaptability.Structural adaptive design discusses the impact of building structure on spatial adaptability and the ways in which different types of building structures achieve spatial adaptability. The fixed space adaptive design discusses the influence of fixed space position on spatial adaptability, discusses the advantages and disadvantages of each arrangement and how to use its advantages to produce maximum spatial adaptability. The variable space itself is already an adaptive space, and its adaptive design is to discuss how the variable space adapts to the new space requirements brought about by modern teaching and research. Finally, taking the Southwest Building of Nanjing University as an example, this paper discusses the application of long-term optimization strategy in practical projects, and compares the building comfort before and after optimization through software simulation, and provides a quantitative scientific basis for the research conclusion. |
