With the rapid development of the automotive industry,the concept of lightweight vehicles has been proposed.Automotive lightweight can effectively reduce the emission of automobile exhaust,and it is an important way to promote the sustainable development of the automobile industry.In the structure of the automobile,various curved shapes of pipe fittings are used on the chassis of the automobile.In this way,the space occupied by the component assembly can be saved under the premise of ensuring the function of use.And the total weight of the automobile can be reduced,which is in line with requirements of automotive lightweight.The rear axle suspension arm of a car is often designed as a tubular part.Its structural shape is complicated,and the cross-sectional areas of the two ends of the tube vary greatly.At present,the internal high pressure forming is the often-used method for industrial processing of the suspension arm,while the internal high pressure forming process has some deficiency.On the one hand,it is complicated and costly.On the other hand,due to the large difference in the cross-sectional areas of the suspension arms studied in this paper,it is very difficult to achieve a good forming effect.Therefore,there is a need to explore a new processing and forming scheme for the suspension arm.Thus,the process of stamping and welding is proposed in this thesis.The main research work of this thesis is as follows:1.The process flow of internal high pressure forming and stamping forming for the suspension arm is analyzed.The CAE finite element simulation models of the two forming processes are established,and the numerical simulation results are calculated and analyzed.Based on the numerical simulation results of the two forming processes,the stamping forming method is determined as the suitable processing and forming scheme for the suspension arm.2.The mandrel of stamping auxiliary component is designed.On the basis of comprehensive considering the complexity of forming process and structure form,the optimum length of mandrel is designed.Kinematics analysis on the movement process of the mandrel and the mold is carried out,and the time sequence diagram of the mandrel movement is calculated.3.The mandrel driving mechanism is developed and designed.Based on the analysis of the design requirements of the driving mechanism,the driving curve of the wedge mechanism is calculated by analytic method.And the structural design of thedriving mechanism of two schemes are completed.Then,the dynamic motion simulation and static strength checking of the designed mechanism are carried out to verify the feasibility of the motion and the reliability of the structural strength.
