Lithium-ion battery has been widely used in various fields with its higher specific energy structure,longer life characteristics and lighter materials,since the marketization,the lithium-ion battery always belongs to the green products.As the national environmental standards and environmental protection identification become more strict,systematic and refined,lithium-ion battery has already been added to the system of environmental evaluation and certification as a kind of industrial products.The further research on lithium ion battery has created more and more types of new battery materials,the assessment standards of these materials are the material characteristics and environmental characteristics.Secondary battery industry has exceedingly developed in China,but there are still some environmental risks and pressure because of the limitation of low technology level and environmental protection requirement.Therefore,we must research the environmental load of secondary battery enterprises and their influence path and depth.In this paper,we did a comprehensive analysis on the energy consumption and environmental effect from the aspects of secondary battery enterprise and product.By referring to the relative environmental effect assessment reports of typical secondary battery enterprises,we selected useful environment elements and observed the enterprises'pollution situations,then we provided a research result about energy and environment characteristics by analyzing,and established a system which can be applied to the most enterprises in Yangtze River Delta region and Pearl River Delta region.Herein,we find that in the production process of battery enterprises,the energy consumption is connected with battery type and company scale.The main air pollutant is NMP,and the NMP emission of lithium iron phosphate battery is more than the NMP emission of polymer lithium-ion battery;the main water pollution is domestic sewage,and the COD content and NH3-N content are relatively higher than other pollutants;the household garbage is the most in solid waste,and the hazardouswastes content produced by lithium iron phosphate battery is relatively higher in the production process.In the respect of economy,we took the total investment and the environmental protection investment into account,then we observed that the enterprises with heavier pollution always put more money into the environmental protection.In the production process,the carbon footprints of lithium iron phosphate battery is higher than the carbon footprints of polymer lithium-ion battery,and for two kinds of battery,the carbon footprints of lithium materials and diaphragm is the highest,then the carbon footprints of graphite and copper foil is relatively higher,the aluminum and nickel materials'carbon footprints is extremely low.Besides,we designed a software to calculate battery products and enterprises'carbon footprints,which can be used for enterprises to calculate carbon footprints in the production process.From the research on the development situation of lithium ion battery all over the world especially in China,we find that the output growth rate of global lithium ion battery is steadily increasing,but the output growth rate of China is slowing down after a peak,and the Chinese regional distribution gradually becomes multi-polarization pattern;in all kinds of lithium ion battery,the product proportions of power battery and energy-storage battery are gradually increasing,but the small lithium ion battery's proportion is decreasing year by year.
