With the significant improvement of people's living standards,catamaran yachts mainly for relaxation and entertainment have attracted more and more attention and favor.At present,safety and energy saving are the main problems that need to be considered and solved in the development of various shipbuilding industries,and these problems are closely related to the strength verification and structural optimization of ships.Therefore,it is of great significance to conduct structural optimization design research while ensuring the strength of the catamaran yacht.Due to the complexity of catamaran yacht structure and load,its strength check analysis is more complicated than that of the common monohull.Due to the actual needs of an engineering project,this thesis conducted a finite element strength check calculation on the catamaran yacht independently developed by an enterprise according to the China Classification Society's "Code for Classification and Construction of Offshore High Speed Ships",and on this basis,optimized design of the yacht structure,the specific research content includes the following aspects:Firstly,a large-scale finite element analysis software Hypermesh was used to establish a catamaran yacht finite element analysis model.According to the different combination conditions required by the specification,the catamaran yacht was calculated and loaded.The stress distribution of the catamaran yacht under different load combinations was simulated and analyzed.Secondly,the thickness of the catamaran yacht component was used as the optimization variable,the maximum allowable stress value of the catamaran under each load combination and the thickness range of the members were used as the constraints,and the lightest weight of the catamaran was the optimization goal.A mathematical model of catamaran structure optimization was presented.In order to establish an optimized proxy model with higher fitting accuracy,the paper obtained sample data through the Latin hypercube test design,and then used traditional quadratic response surface and moving least squares method to fit the sample data,then,through automatic comparison and selection,the agent model with high fitting accuracy is selected to participate in the next step of optimization.Finally,genetic algorithm was used to solve the established mathematical model of yacht structure optimization,and structural optimization design was carried out under the premise of ensuring the strength of the catamaran yacht,in other words,by changing the thickness parameters of the main structural parts of the catamaran yacht,the yacht quality was minimized.The optimization results show that the total mass of the catamaran yacht is reduced by 3.199 t,which is about 10.09% less,and the lightening effect is obvious,thus achieving the lightweight design goal of the yacht,and providing effective guidance for the structural design of the catamaran yacht.
