Proton exchange membrane fuel cell(PEMFC)is a kind of high-efficiency green and environmental protection power supply,which is used in vehicle energy with the advantages of fast start at low temperature,strong adaptability to fuel,not limited by Carnot cycle,high energy conversion rate,high reliability and so on.The assembly pressure of vehicle fuel cell group makes its components connected together.The assembly pressure will affect the porous structure of gas diffusion layer(GDL)and then affect its transmission characteristics,which brings new problems to the water management,heat distribution and performance of PEMFC.In this paper,the deformation of gas diffusion layer caused by assembly pressure is studied by numerical simulation As well as the influence of the hydrothermal performance of the battery has been studied.(1)The GM module of ANSYS simulation software is used to establish the three-dimensional model of single channel proton exchange membrane fuel cell.The influence of assembly pressure on the GDL deformation in PEMFC is studied by using the finite element analysis(FEA).The two-dimensional reconstruction of the gas diffusion layer deformation of PEMFC is carried out by using the computer graphics software CAD,and is carried out in the form of asis Row output,in thesoftware gambit,the mesh of different assembly pressure is divided,output in mesh format,import in fluent,call out PEMFC module for hydrodynamics simulation.(2)The water cloud,temperature cloud and polarization curve of the fuel cell under different assembly pressure are obtained from the simulation results.The influence of GDL deformation on the water concentration and cell temperature is analyzed.It is found that the best performance of the fuel cell is about 0.6MPa assembly pressure.(3)The variation trend of porosity,permeability,conductivity and contact resistance of fuel cell with assembly pressure is analyzed under different assembly pressure.With the increase of assembly pressure,the porosity,permeability,conductivity and contact resistance of fuel cell are all decreasing.
