In recent years,China's power industry has developed rapidly.The installed capacity of power generation in various regions of the country has increased substantially.Market competition has become increasingly severe.With the continuous advancement of national environmental protection policies,the development of coal-fired power plants,which are dominant in the traditional power industry,has been constrained.Gas turbine power plants have achieved unprecedented development opportunities.However,in the development process,gas turbine power plants are also subject to market competition,including gas companies' price hikes and supply limits,and grid companies' power reduction pressures,which have caused the gas turbine power plants to change their traditional production models and innovate production concepts.FY Power Generation Company is a typical gas turbine power plant.Most of the company's benefits come from power generation production lines.This article takes FY Power Generation Company as an example to discuss the improvement of FY Power Generation Company's implementation of Six Sigma management in the current production situation,and the start and stop operation process of the production line.Six Sigma management enjoys a high reputation internationally and has been widely used in the domestic and foreign manufacturing industries and achieved positive results.However,FY Power Generation's production line is different from ordinary manufacturing production lines.In this paper,the actual situation of the production line is described.Firstly,the concept,the core principles,and the DMAIC process improvement of Six Sigma management are described from the theoretical level.The implementation process of the DMAIC process improvement is specified.Secondly,according to the production status of the company's production line,the problem of low efficiency and low environmental protection in the start and stop process of the unit is proposed.Thirdly,combined with the characteristics of Six Sigma management,it explores the feasibility of FY Power Generation's implementation of Six Sigma management in the production process for the improvement.Finally,combined with the DMAIC process improvement,the application of the start and stop operation of the company's production line is described in detail.Definition Stage(D): Determine the process efficiency of the start and stop operation of the unit and environmental protection issues.Based on the existing process,only the very few processes or equipment are optimized or changed during the project promotion process,in line with SMART principles.Measurement phase(M):Collect the time data from each step of the two processes of the start and stop of the unit to determine the current level.Analysis phase(A): Analyze the time data of each step ofthe two processes of start and stop of the unit,find out the steps with longer times and identify the root cause.Improvement Phase(I): Generate solutions,evaluate solutions,and select a solution for the steps with longer times in the processes.Control Phase(C):Establish a pilot plan for the solution,solution verification results,and project finishing work.
