Asteroids are important objects for studying the early evolution of the solar system and have potential resource to explore. This article is a numerical simulation study for an asteroid exploration program and provide a reference for the sampling device working in vacuum and zero gravity condition. This paper analyzes the working process of an asteroid surface sampling device using CFD++,STAR-CCM+ and other software.Include three parts they are particle-free flow,small-diameter particles flow and large-diameter particles flow.In the particle-free flow using two-dimensional model to simulate hypersonic jet flow. There are simulations of single mainstream nozzle structure and multiple nozzle structure designed for collection process. Both two results were compared and analyzed. The simulation of small-diameter particles flow based on Euler-Lagrange multi-phase flow model, and the Overset method was used to simulate the large particle flow. The results show that multi-nozzle structure can stabilize the flow field, the side wall nozzle can constrain the range of the particles and compress the particles enter the collection pipe,in addition the side wall nozzle can reduce the leakage of mainstream, thus improving collection efficiency.
