Orientation technology has been widely used in various fields,and fiber-optic gyroscope(FOG)has been widely used in orientation system because of its advantages.In this paper,for purpose of the expansion of the attitude-keeping function without changing the other hardware of the orientation system,the low-precision three-axis integrated FOG was used to replace the high-precision FOG as the inertial measurement device.In-depth research has been conducted on the orientation error suppression method of the low-precision three-axis integrated FOG.The start-up error problem has been solved through temperature compensation,and the orientation accuracy has been improved through the improvement of the coarse orientation+specific azimuth fine orientation.The maintaining accuracy has reached the expected accuracy.The main contents are as follows:First,the principle of the FOG orientation system was explained,and the basic principle of FOG north-finding and the advantages and disadvantages of various north-finding schemes were discussed.The system composition of the FOG orientation system used in this article and the orientation system function expansion scheme for extending the posture maintenance function were introduced.Second,the error problem in the start-up process of the FOG was studied,and a compensation algorithm with temperature was proposed.The temperature data was used to analyze the FOG through empirical mode decomposition,ARMA modeling and Kalman filter.The start-up error was modeled and compensated,which effectively suppressed the start-up orientation error of the FOG,and significantly improved the orientation accuracy of the start-up phase,reaching a level equivalent to the orientation accuracy in the steady state,and improvd the speed of the orientation system.Third,the orientation system using a low-precision three-axis integrated FOG was studied,and the FOG orientation scheme was improved.Under the condition that the orientation time was unchanged,the fine orientation process was added to improve the orientation accuracy.The measurement of the drift was added to correct the model parameter errors.Precise alignment process at a specific position was used to further improve the accuracy.Experiments have proved that this orientation scheme can effectively improve the orientation accuracy of the FOG orientation system.In addition,the posture maintenance function is also realized.
