This article choosed the saline-alkali in Hailiutu Garden as the object to study,trying.to use the afforestation to improve the saline-alkali.We assayed some targets,such.as the influences of different improvement measures to the physico-chemical properties of the saline-alkali soil?the survival rate and preserving rate of the trees used for afforestation?the growth of the forest trees plant in the saline-alkali and the vegetation coverage under different improvement measures.The study was dedsigned to offer some scientific basis for the afforestation improvement of the saline-alkali area at the alluvial plain which located at the south of Yinshan mountain.The results showed that:1 The bulk density of soil in Management-A was reduced by 9.66%compared with CK?The difference between the fluid permeability under different conditions was significant.The fluid permeability of Management-A was the highest,then the Management-B,which was 3.54 and 2.71 times as high as the one of CK.The PH of the soil layer 0-20cm and 20-40cm was reduced by 77.08%and 74.58%respectively.The salt content of Management-A was 0.13%,the one of Management-B was 0.16%.The salt content of CK was 5 times as high as the one came from the soil which was improved.The water content of the soil layer 20-40cm showed this tendency:Management-A<Management-B<CK.The Electric Conductivity of the soil layer 0-20cm under each condition was lower than the one of the soil layer 20-40cm,water was the key factor lead to the change of PH and EC in the light loan.2 The preserving rate of the populous-popularis in the Management-A was 96.9%,the one in the Management-B was 100.0%,both of the survival rate reached to the national standard,which was 70%.The Management-B was close with the Management-A at the preserving rate of forest trees,but it could simplify the working process and saving the cost.The improvement measures made minor difference of the improvement effect between closely related treespecies:the preserving rate of the weeping willow in Management-A reached to 100%,the preserving rate of fast-growing willow reached to 94.0%:the preserving rate of fast-growing willow in Management-B was 100%;the preserving rate of salix matsudana in Management-C was 2.8%;all of the salix matsudana planted in the soil without improvement were dead.The preserving rate of the narrow-leaved oleaster in Management-B was 67.1%;The preserving rate of the five-year tamarix chinensis was 79.5%,the one of the two-year tamarix chinensis was only 21.1%,The preserving rate of the matrimony vine was 89.8%,which was the highest.3 By improving the saline-alkali soil with comprehensive measures,the vegetation coverage could reaches to 85%-95%,populous was the preponderant tree species that could be used to afforestation and improve the saline-alkali soil in the alluvial plain at the fore slope of Daqingshan Mountain...
