China fir is a type of commercial tree species endemic in southern China with high-quality,fast-growing and high-yield characteristics. The operation of Chinese fir plantation has important strategic significance in alleviating the conflicts of China’s current timber demand and forest ecological environment deterioration. However, several forest management measures such as controlled burning afforestation, serialization for many generations and pure forest of China fir has led to forest soil degradation and stand production decline.Forest fertilization,as an important measure of modern forestry intensive forest culture and management,is able to improve the nutrient status of forest land and increase the soil fertility and stand productivity of Chinese fir plantation in short rotation. The study set up a sample plot in Administration Bureau of State Forest Farms of Fujian Province, carried out a fertilizer test in 2011.The additional fertilizer trials were carried on the Bag-Controlled Fertilizer and the traditional furrow application of compound fertilizer at depth of 15 and 25cm.And all of them had eight fertilization treatments, repeated three times, randomized block design. The Bag-Controlled Fertilizer was set in 6,8,10 holes side by side on surface of degradable plastic bag and sealed. The growth of young Chinese fir plantation, soil nutrient and the monthly fertilizer release were continuous determination, the research result shows that:Ⅰ:1)The first year after fertilization, the treatment of fertilization depth 15cm was conducive to the growth of tree height;the treatment of DBH 6 holes got the largest growth in that year;when the treatment was fertilization depth 25cm with 6 holes, the growth of accumulation was the largest in that year, followed by the treatment of fertilization depth 15cm with 10 holes.2)The second year after fertilization, when the treatment was fertilization depth 15cm with 8 holes, the growth of tree height and DBH was the largest in that year, respectively increasing 35%and 62%,followed by the fertilization depth 25cm with 10 holes, respectively increasing 22%and 42%;when the treatment was fertilization depth 25cm with 10 holes, the growth of accumulation was the largest in that year, followed by the treatment of fertilization with 6 holes.Ⅱ:The fertilization had no significant effect on soil physical properties in 2 years. But the increase of clay contents benefited the improvement of soil structure, the capability of soil conservative water and fertilizer.Ⅲ:The soil pH value of fertilization treatment increases with the growth of China fir every year, the comparison decreases every year, the content of organic matter in the soil of study plot decreases year by year;the soil N,P with fertilization treatment and the content of available K first increase and then decrease after fertilization, the content of total K decreases year by year;the exchangeable calcium, magnesium ions in the soil of study plot increase every year;in addition, fertilization treatment has obvious significance on exchangeable magnesium ions.IV:The change of content of NPK,calcium and magnesium in newborn needles after fertilization have similar situation. The content of NPK decrease year and year, while the content of calcium and magnesium first decreases and then increases.Besides, nutrient element content of newborn needles with treatments of fertilization depth 15 cm and 8 holes, fertilization depth 25 cm and 10 holes are the highest proportion.Ⅴ:After the fertilizer goes into the soil,it is influenced by water movement and root system move, the treatment is fertilization depth 25cm,the monthly consumption of its nutrients relatively low, which is conducive to improve the long-term benefit of fertilizers.
