This research studied and investigated the effects of alfalfa silage which replaced alfalfa hay on production performance,milk quality,nutrient apparent digestibility,serum biochemical indices and economic benefit of dairy cows Results were as follows:This research chosen 15 multiparous Holstein Lactation cows which had similar weight,milk yield and parities,and they were randomly distributed into 3 groups.The control group diet included 4.00 Kg alfalfa hay.The A group were chosen 4.40 kg alfalfa silage to replaced 2.00 Kg alfalfa hay,The B group were selected 8.8kg alfalfa silage for instead of all alfalfa hay.The trial lasted for 79 days.The results showed as follows:(1)The milk yield of control group was significantly higher than B group(P<0.05),but was not significantly distinguished with A group(P>0.05),as well as A group and B group.(2)The milk protein ratio of B group and A group was not different(P>0.05);as well as the control group's true protein,calcium,and phosphorus in the milk(P>0.05),and both A group and B group were higher than the control group,but they were not difference with each other(P>0.05).(3)The milk fat of matched group and A group was not significantly different,as well as A group with B group(P>0.05).But the milk fat of B group was significantly higher than matched group(P<0.05).The lactose of these 3 groups were not significantly different with each other(P>0.05),treatment group were7.14% higher than control group.The milk solids of 3 groups were not significantly different with each other(P>0.05),but experiment group were a bit higher than matched group.The milk urea nitrogen of 3 groups were not significantly different with each other(P>0.05),but A group and B group were lower than control group,besides somatic cell count and the dry matter intake were not significantly different with each other(P>0.05)of the three groups,but control group were higher than treatmentgroup on DMI.(4)The apparent digestibility of NDF of A group and B group were not significantly different with control group(P>0.05),and A group was the highest,A group and B group were 8.23%,4.58% higher than control group respectively.The apparent digestibility of crude protein between the two Test groups were not significantly different(P>0.05)but were significantly lower than control group(P<0.05),The apparent digestibility of calcium were not significantly different among three groups(P>0.05),the apparent digestibility of phosphorus of control group were significantly lower than experiment group(P<0.05),but the apparent digestibility of phosphorus of test groups were not significantly different with each other(P>0.05).(5)Replacing alfalfa hay with alfalfa silage did not affected apparently the content of total protein of serum,albumin,BUN,blood glucose and carbon dioxide combining power,and these in 3 groups were not significantly different with each other(P>0.05).The BUN of B group and control group were higher than A group,and B group's was also 1.48% higher than control group.(6)The economic benefits of controled group was 0.61 yuan less than A group and0.31 yuan less than B.This research showed that replacing alfalfa hay with alfalfa silage have increased the production performance and economic benefits.
