| Plant hormones,such as salicylic acid and ethylene,play important roles in plant disease resistance.Salicylic acid involves in biotroph resistance.In previous study,we found that the salicylic acid pathway is suppressed by the mutantion of EDSF.We detected the disease resistance of wild type and edsf mutations to the bacterial pathogen Pst avrRps4,Pst avrRpt2.The results show that the mutation of EDSF lead to more susceptible to these pathogens.Yeast two-hybrid assay reveals that EDSF interacts with H1,H2,SF7,and that both of H1 and H2 interact with SF1.Ethylene signaling pathway plays an indispensble role in plant disease resistance.We found a mutant which is insensitive to ethylene and detected the disease resistance of wild type,edsn mutants and 35S::EDSN overexression lines to the bacterial pathogen Pst DC3000,Pst avrRps4 and Pst avrRpt2.The results show that the mutation of EDSN reduces the plant disease resistance,indecating that EDSN may play a role in the ethylene pathway on disease resistance.We also analyzed the difference between the wild type and the edsn mutants on cold tolerance.The survival rates of the mutants are significantly higher than the wild type. |
