Cassava , one of the three tuber crops, have been planted in tropical and subtropical zones. Because Hainan lies in tropical zones ,so there are cassavas. Cassava is the main grain, and industrial raw material with biological energy. The quantity required of cassava prompted to develop mechanization harvesting .The research focuses on Digging-Pulling cassava harvester and its drag saving .Now research achievement and optimization plan had been analyzed cassava harvester. At the same time,we also analyzed the harvest’s advantages and disadvantages with bold hypothesis. We can refer to designing scheme of the other crop to put forward the optimization .the basic research of the process pulled cassava is few in china,so make the optimization design of cassava harvester harder.it is important to basic research what is drag saving .The research can be used in optimization design ,thus providing parameters for the designing of Digging-Pulling cassava harvester.Main research content:(1)The shape characteristic parameter was measured by process of field testing designed by us to provide parameter of drag saving design and modeling design.(2)By the analysis of forces and physics for the cassava during harvesting, we find out the force what it need to harvesting . At the same time ,we built mathematical modeling and solved the theoretical force and comparison with it.(3)Lastly we find the most optimal solution in the angle ,speed and depth of harvesting.By the means of comprehensive and comparative analysis of testing date,we design the new clamping device with hacking for cassava harvesting . Researching the key morphological characteristic of cassava and demand of uprooted force provide parameter basis for design of Digging-Pulling cassava harvesting.
