The equipment of stalk crops seed manufacture at present has defects in identifying the position of pennisetum species' internodes and buds,which can cause the cutter damage the buds.What's more,it results in bad quality and low survival rate of the seeds.That's the core of this paper.It is necessary to exploit a device that can recognize the buds of stalk crops,and prevent the cutter from hurting it.This paper summarizes the development status and trends of machine vision in various fields of domestic and overseas,and the physical cutting characteristics ofpennisetum species and overview seed produce craft is also researched.It is applied to obtain the optimal cutting program of stalk crops and the distributed character of the internodes and buds.The internodes and buds identification method of stalk crops based on machine vision was put forward in this study.It includes the modules,like image enhancement,geometric transformation,image improvement,digital image information transformation,and extract budding feature and position signal.Finally,a study platform based on machine vision for the device of pennisetum species seed produce was established.It focuses on how to design the mechanical structure of seed produce platform and electronic control system.The operating principle of the device is that the FPGA acts the part of upper computer,bearing the image collection and preprocessing tasks.The MCU is applied to control the mechanical actuator based on the host computer signal.USB2.0 high-speed universal serial bus is used as the upper and lower machine module communication bridge.
