Alkali damage is one of the important limited factors of the production of soybeans. It could cause the serious damage to soybean production. In this study,142 soybean samples were collected from the major soybean areas in the north and were treated with Na HCO3.These varieties were treated under alkali stress at bud stage, seedling stage and mature stage. The physiological indicators related to alkali tolerance at different development stages of soybean were determined.I establish an evaluation system related to anti-alkaline by morphological indicators and comprehensive analysis and identification of soybean anti-alkaline.The main findings are as follows:(1)The alkaline tolerance was screened with different concentrations of Na HCO3 solution to obtain 60 m M as the initial concentration and 180 m M as the final concentration at bud stage. The alkali tolerance was divided into 5 levels of alkali, which were high tolerance, medium tolerance, tolerance sensitivity and high sensitivity according to the index of the relative alkali damage of buds at bud stage. There were 22 high alkali-tolerant varieties, including Mongolian 21 and other varieties. There were 31 alkali-tolerant varieties, including variety L-21.There were 51 moderate alkali-tolerant varieties, including L-28 and other varieties. There were 25 alkali-sensitive varieties, including North 1873 and other varieties. There were 13 high alkali-sensitive varieties, including Huajiang2 and other varieties. The germination potential, germination rate, number of lateral roots, and root length at bud stage were significantly affected by alkali stress. The higher the alkali tolerance, the less affected by it.(2)Through the identification of alkali-tolerance at seedling stage, when the most sensitive germplasm reached a complete death of the symptoms of alkalosis, based on charred leaves of soybean plants, the alkali-tolerance of soybeans was divided into 5 alkali-tolerance levels. They were high tolerance, tolerance, medium tolerance, sensitivity, and high sensitivity. There were 24 high alkali-tolerant varieties, including L-28 and other varieties. There were 45 alkali-tolerant varieties, including Huajiang2 and other varieties. There were 47 moderate alkali-tolerant varieties, including L-21 and other varieties. There were 16 alkali-sensitive varieties, including 05-991 and other varieties. There were 24 high alkali-sensitive varieties, including 16 varieties such as North bean.(3)Through the analysis of correlations of adult-related traits, determine the effect of alkali stress on soybean yield using the number of seed per plant, seed weight per plant,100-seed weight, dry weight above ground, and underground dry weight, and based on the yield loss, the cluster analysis of alkali tolerance was divided into 5 categories, namely, high tolerance, tolerance, middle tolerance, sensitivity, and high sensitivity. The results showed that there were 4 high alkali-tolerant varieties, including L-28.There were 18 alkali-tolerant varieties, including L-79.There were 61 moderate alkali-tolerant varieties, including Yunnong 1;There were 51 alkali-sensitive varieties, including Huajiang2 and others. There were 8 high alkali-sensitive varieties, including 05-991.(4)By categorizing the alkali-tolerance levels at bud, seedling and mature stage, the result showed that there was 1 high alkali-tolerant variety at bud stage, seedling stage and mature stage, including Mongolian 21.There were 5 high alkali-tolerant varieties at bud stage and seedling stage, including L-10,Ha 04-1824,Jiunong 20,Gannong 29 and Liao Nong 2.There was 0 high alkali-tolerant variety at bud stage and mature stage. At seedling and mature stage, there was 1 high alkali-tolerant variety, including L-28.
