The nature reserve is an important part of the forest ecosystem. We can master the carbon sequestration level of forest by studying the carbon sequestration capacity of the natural reserve, which is of great significance to estimate the carbon storage of forest and to evaluate carbon sequestration function of forest. In this study, according to the field data and the Landsat remote sensing image of the same period, taking the Miyaluo nature reserve in Sichuan province as an example, using remote sensing technology,we analyze the correlation between the modeling factors and the measured data. Then, using multiple linear regression method and artificial neural network method,we build several models to estimate the aboveground carbon storage of the main species in Miyaluo nature reserve.Lastly,we choose the best model to estimate the aboveground carbon storage in this region, and analyze the spatial distribution characteristics of aboveground carbon storage in Miyaluo nature reserve. The results show that:(1)The remote sensing image after terrain correction can be more suitable for building the model to estimate the aboveground carbon storage in the forest, and the SCS+C terrain model is most suitable for terrain correction in this region, which can improve the accuracy of this study in estimating aboveground carbon storage.(2)Using multiple linear regression model and artificial neural network method to build several models for main species in Miyaluo nature reserve,we find that the accuracy of the models using artificial neural network method is higher than the models using multiple linear regression method.(3)The aboveground carbon storage is 5.632 Tg in timber forests,0.229 Tg in shrubberies, and the total aboveground carbon storage in Miyaluo nature reserve is 5.861 Tg.The order of seven mainly trees according to the size of aboveground carbon storage is: fir> spruce> hemlock > larch> birch> Chinese pine> Huashan pine.(4)The spatial distribution characteristics of aboveground carbon storage: In the horizontal direction, taking the Zagunao river and it's tributaries as the center,it extends to the surrounding area with a certain buffer distance, and it is distributed in the whole region like arborization. In the vertical direction,it is distributed in all the altitudes, but most of the aboveground carbon storage is distributed in the altitude which is between 3000 and 4000 m.From the slope,in the region whose slope is within 45 degree, the aboveground carbon storage increases with the increase of the slope,in the region whose slope is over 45 degree,it shows a decreasing trend. From the aspect, the aboveground carbon storage in shady slope and semi-shady slope is higher than it in sunny slope and semi-sunny Slope, and the aboveground carbon storage along with the aspect to the change performance is shady slope> semi-shady slope> semi-sunny Slope> sunny slope> no slope to approach.
