| In recent years, with the rapid urbanization and industrialization, the contradiction between increasing requirement of construction land, protection red line of farmland and ensuring of food security is very apparent.Due to the ability of relieving the formal contradiction by increasing effective farmland area and improving the farmland productivity, land consolidation has got increasingly attention. It is of particular importance for effectively and targetedly developing activities of planning, implementing, and managing land consolidation projects(LCPs)to grasp the current consolidation effectiveness in major land consolidation areas and explore the characteristics and regulations of regional differences. In this paper, based on spatio-temporal process of farmland net primary production(NPP)change within a certain period before and after consolidation which is simulated with moderate resolution imaging spectroradiometer(MODIS)data and the Camegie-Ames-Stanford Approach(CASA)model, the influence of land consolidation on farmland productivity over China’s important grain-producing area is evaluated by constructing the quantitative assessment way using indices including change slope and coefficient of variation(CV),and the neighborhood-contrast method, then the spatial distribution regulation concerning consolidation effectiveness of LCPs at regional scale is analyzed by the means of mathematical statistics, spatial autocorrelation and hot-spot detection from the perspective of farmland productivity. The results show that 1)the farmland NPP of most of land consolidation projects(89.30%)in the study area shows an increasing trend with an average increase of 2.63 g C m-2 yr-1 from 2001 to 2016;2)According to the result of quantitative evaluation, land consolidation in the study area has a limited positive influence on the change of farmland productivity.Overall, the productivity-increasing effect(65.11%)is more obvious than the stability augmentation effect(46.30%);3)The influence degrees of land consolidation on farmland productivity and its stability are geospatially characterized by agglomeration while significances of these degrees are in discrete distribution respectively, which may be related to the agricultural production environment and consolidation characteristics of each land consolidation project;4)Resources endowment, social economy situation and farmland input level have a comprehensive effect on consolidation effectiveness with relatively obvious phenomena of regulation. The research framework and results are of positive significance for land consolidation effectiveness evaluation at regional scale, and related policy formulation dominated by government administration sections and the differential implementation of land consolidation activities. |
