Sweet potato was an important food crop and can also be used as raw material for foodstuffs,animal feed and new energy with raw material,furthermore,modern research showed that it had anti-cancer effects.Sweet potato is a labor-intensive crop,the most labor intensity in the vines crushing and harvesting process in the planting process.China is a large producer of sweet potato,which is mainly planted in hilly areas and flat areas.Therefore,the development of sweet potato production equipments is of great significance for the settlement of sweet potato production in hilly regions.Based on the research of the planting agronomy,designed an walking sweet potato vines crushing and returning machine,this paper analyzed the structure of key components such as crushed parts,anti-wear technology,ground lifting mechanism and transmission mechanism.The INVENTOR was used in various parts of sweet potato vines crushing and returning machine for three-dimensional model and for virtual assembly;the ANSYS software was used to analyze the vibration mode of the key components of the roller shaft to verity the rationality of the design.To test machine performance,conduct single-factor field trials.Sweet potato vines breaking qualified rate,stubble height and damaging rate were the main indicators of evaluating sweet potato vines crushing and returning machine.The experiment results showed that the cutter roller speed,the ground clearance and the distance between blade were influenced the working quality.The Box-Benhnken central composite experimental design principle was adopted on the basis of single factor experiment to research the working parameters of machine.The mathematical model of the response surface was established,and the influence of each factor on the machine quality of the operation were analyzed and optimized.The main research results are as follows:(1)An overview and analysis of the development status of domestic sweet potato production.Introduced several types of sweet potato vines processes machine at home and abroad,and summarized the main influences factors of affecting the operating performance.The experiment results showed that the average tensile force was 175.1N and the average shear force was 57.23N.(2)According to the planting agronomy of sweet potato,the design mainly includes the shell assembly,cutter roller and flail knife,guide wheel mechanism and transmission schematic,etc.According to the planting agronomy,the knife block adopted double helix cross symmetry.The INVENTOR was used for virtual assembly and the ANSYS software was used to analyze the vibration mode of the roller shaft to verity the rationality of the design.(3)In order to determine the optimal parameters,carried out with the cutter roller speed,the ground clearance and the distance between blade 3 factors of single factor experiment,and the sweet potato vines breaking qualified rate,stubble height and damaging rate were the main indicators.The test results used SPSS software to analysis,analysis of main factors affecting the quality of operation,in order to determine the scope of the reasonable parameters of the main factors.The Box-Benhnken central composite experimental design principle was adopted to research the working parameters of walking sweet potato vines crushing and returning machine.The mathematical model of the response surface was established,and the influence of each factor on the machine quality of the operation were analyzed and optimized.The experiment results showed that the order of the main factors affecting of the vines breaking qualified rate was obtained as follow:roller rotation speed>ground clearance>distance between blade;the order of the main factors affecting of the stubble heights was obtained as follow:ground clearance>roller rotation speed>distance between blade;the order of the main factors affecting of the rate of the damage was obtained as follow:ground clearance>roller rotation speed>distance between blade.The field test showed that the best parameters were as bellow:when the rotation speed was 1950 r?min-1,the ground clearance was 25 mm and the distance between blade was 40 mm,the rate of vines breaking qualified rate was 94.88%,the stubble heights was 47.08 mm,and the rate of damage was 0.23%.
