In this study,Huai-Ba pigs were acquired by means of orthogonal experiments(Huai pig?×Bama Xiang pig?),and then athwart cross test was carried out in Huai-Ba pigs.The reproductive performance indicators including the litter size,litter number born alive,abnormal parturition number,birth litter weight,the weaning number of 35 days after born,and weaning weight of 35 days after born of the multiparous sows in Huai pigs,Bama Xiang pigs and Huai-Ba pigs were measured and recorded,as to compare the differences among the three pig populations.Six Huai-Ba finishing pigs(3?+ 3?)and Six Bama Xiang finishing pigs(3?+ 3?)at the marketing weight were slaughtered,their slaughtering performance indexes(including carcass weight,slaughter rate,shear force and pH value,et al.)were measured and comparatively analyzed.The longissimus dorsi muscle was measured for its nutrient composition and its fatty acid and amino acid content.To explore the impact of this new hybrid line on offspring performance.The test results are as follows:(1)In terms of reproductive performance,there was no significant difference in litter size,litter size,and litter size between F1 and parent F1(P>0.05).The number of weaning pigs and Bama Xiang pigs at 35 days of age were similar.The difference was significant(P<0.05),and there was a significant relationship between birth weight and weaning weight(P<0.01).(2)In terms of slaughter performance and carcass quality,the slaughter rate,eye muscle area,and lean meat ratio of Huai-Ba pigs were slightly higher than those of Bama Xiang pig but did not reach significant levels,and there were significant differences in body length(P>0.05);The tenderness and water loss rate of Bama xiang pig was better than that of Huai-Ba pig,and the difference was not significant(P>0.05).(3)The nutritional composition of the longissimus dorsi muscles showed that the energy,protein,dry matter and ash of Bama Xiang pigs were slightly higher than those of Huai-Ba pigs,but they did not reach significant differences(P>0.05).(4)Determination of fatty acids and amino acids in longissimus dorsi muscles.There were no significant differences in saturated fatty acids and unsaturated fatty acids between Bama Xiang pigs and Huai-Ba pigs(P>0.05).Total amino acids and umami taste of Bama Xiang pigs Amino acids were significantly higher than Huai-Ba pigs(P<0.05).The research results indicated that the F1 generation of Huai-Ba has inherited the advantages of high leanness and rapid growth of Huai pigs in terms of high fecundity and growth traits.At the same time,the quality of Huai pig also inherited the characteristics of fresh and delicate Bama Xiang pigs.The results of this experiment can provide the basis for the late-stage breeding of hybrids of Bama Xiang pigs and Huai pigs.
