Analysis Of Plant Landscape Of Zhongshan Arboretum

This thesis surveyed the plants diversity,and appraised the plants landscape,it has practical significance for procting the plants germplasm rescources of South China and the construction of arboretum.The study included the investigation in 16 regions of the Zhongshan Arboretum,such as the region by the gate,Magnolia Garden,bamboo garden,hilly tea garden,and the systematically classified area,etc.This research investigates the classification,growth status,features of plantation of the plants.It conducts the assessment and analysis on the plant landscape at the 16 regions with the analytic hierarchy process.The main results are as follows:The investigation recorded 110 families,832 genres and 1973 plants species at Zhongshan Arboretum(including the planted),with more than 20000 individual plants.Of which there are 10 families 63 species of gymnosperms,100 families 1910 species of angiosperms;1034 species of arbors with a ratio of 52.40%;there are 902 species of bushes with a ratio of 45.74%;there are 37 species of herbaceous with a ratio of 1.88%;there are 1788 species of evergreen plants with a ratio of 90.62%;there are 185 species of deciduous plants with a ratio of 9.38%.There are 1865 species of domestic indigenous plants with a ratio of 94.53%;there are 108 species of foreign plants with a ratio of 5.47%.There are four families with a collection of more than 100 species,which are Theaceae with 450 species,Bambusoideae with 252 species respectively,Ericaceae 143 species and Magnoliaceae with 110 species.The plant landscape at Zhongshan Arboretum was analysed with the analytic hierarchy process,and the results show that the scope of the comprehensive scores to the plants landscape from the experts group is between 5.307-7.865,the scope from the professional personnel is between 6.44-8.313,the scope from the public is between 7.896-8.741.At the meantime,the result of the comprehensive assessment from these three groups of people shows that: the comprehensive effect performed at the plants landscape of the systematically classified area and the magnolia garden is better by comparison,which ranks top three among the 16 groups,while the ranks of aromatic wood garden and the district of nursery are way behind,which it is commonly recognized that the effect for the plants landscape are poor.At last,it brings forward suggestions based on the results of the above stated investigation research and assessment,which is to put more efforts on protecting the native tree species?on the introduction of plants,to expand the gene bank for the species at the arboretum,to enrich the plant diversity for the improvement for the plants landscape at Zhongshan Arboretum..
