The Leymus chinensis steppe is the main grassland type in the northeast region of China and the eastern region of Inner Mongolia. As a result of overgrazing, disturbances and droughts, the degraded areas of Leymus chinensis grassland in recent years have been expanding year by year, which has affected the yield of forage grasses and the nutritional value of forages, and has led to a decline in economic and ecological benefits. The repair of Leymus chinensis steppe is imminent. The use of ecological restoration technology to repair degraded ecosystems has become a hot topic for scholars around the world.Arbuscular mycorrhiza(AM)is an important member of the grassland ecosystem. It has important significance in all stages of forage grass growth The use of arbuscular mycorrhiza and plant symbiotic advantages,to improve the colonization ability of mycorrhizal Leymus chinensis, improve the soil environment of Leymus chinensis, promote the nutrient absorption and growth of vegetation communities, and achieve the purpose of restoring degraded Leymus chinensis grassland. In June 2016,we selected a severely degraded grassland in Xilinguole League,Inner Mongolia.By inoculating of arbuscular mycorrhiza and replanting Leymus chinensis to reestablish the ectomycorrhizal root system We were compared between the three traits of Leymus chinensis, plant communities, and soil nutrient changes on the differences between inoculated arbuscular mycorrhiza treatment and sterilizing treatment. The main results are as follows:(1)Inoculate arbuscular mycorrhiza, increase the height, coverage and biomass of Leymus chinensis,Among them, the coverage increased by 3.3 times and the above-ground biomass increased by 1.6 times.Increased uptake of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in Leymus chinensis plants.Increased protein content and quality of Leymus chinensis(2)Inoculate arbuscular mycorrhiza,Improved plant community growth indicators restoration of vegetation diversity, promotion of community stability, and improvement of grassland productivity.(3)Inoculate arbuscular mycorrhiza, significantly increase the content of available P in the rhizosphere soil of Leymus chinensis, increase the soil organic matter content in the rhizosphere soil, and significantly increase the soil enzyme activity.Improve the soilenvironment.
