The cutting process of the stem is closely related to the physical and mechanical properties of the stem,the relative cutting angle of the cutting knife and the stem,and the cutting manner,and directly affects the energy consumption of the cutting device,thereby affecting the harvesting efficiency.The cutting test is an important method to study the cutting performance of sunflower stalks,there is no relevant experimental research on the cutting performance of sunflower stems at home and abroad.For this reason,a universal testing machine was used in conjunction with a self-made cutting device to cut sunflower stalks to determine the effect of the relative action of the cutting knife and stalk on cutting resistance and cutting energy consumption during the cutting process of sunflower stalks.Firstly,the theoretical analysis of sunflower stalk cutting process was carried out,the main factors affecting the cutting resistance were obtained,and the influencing factors of this study were selected.Then,the sunflower stalk cutting test was performed on a microcomputer-controlled electronic universal testing machine with a cutting device to study the process of cutting resistance changes during the entire cutting process.Finally,the effects of different cutting angles,oblique angles,cutting edge angles,and cutting speeds on the cutting performance(cutting resistance,cutting energy consumption)of sunflower stems were studied by cutting tests.According to the results of single factor tests,when the influencing factors are the cutting angle of 15°,the angle of miter of 30°,the angle of inclination of 20°,and the cutting speed of 500 mm/min,the peak value of the cutting resistance is small,and the cutting energy consumption is low.According to the multi-factor orthogonal test results,the best combination of the minimum cutting resistance peak value is a miter angle of 45° and a blade angle of 30°.The preferred combination of lower cutting energy consumption is blade angle of 20°,miter angle of 30°,cutting speed of 500 mm/min,and cutting angle of 10°.The best combination with the highest score is blade angle of 20°,cutting speed of 500 mm/min,miter angle of 30°,and cutting angle of 10°.According to the quadratic regression orthogonal design test results,when the cutting angle is 9° and the miter angle is 25°,the minimum cutting resistance peak is 198.6 N;when the cutting angle is 13°,the miter angle is 29°.The minimum cutting energy consumption is 1.9 J.When the cutting angle is 12° and the miter angle is 28°,the highest comprehensive score is 95.3.This study can provide a theoretical basis for the design,arrangement and improvement of sunflower stem harvesting and support devices,thereby reducing the cutting energy consumption of sunflower harvesting devices and improving the harvesting efficiency.
