| Artificial reefs as an effective means to conserve fishery resources,repair marine ecological environment,provide good growing,reproduction,avoidance of enemies,and shelter sites for environmental organisms represent the future direction of marine development.Guangdong Province is the earliest demonstration site for the deployment of artificial reefs throughout the country.In recent years,the construction of artificial reefs has developed rapidly.There is great significance to carry out quantitative research on the effects of artificial reef to guide the construction and management of artificial reefs.This paper refers to the evaluation of artificial reef construction effects at home and abroad,based on artificial reef area in Zhelin Bay in east of Guangdong,artificial reef area in Wuyu in east of Guangdong,artificial reef area in south Dalaijia of Daya Bay in central of Guangdong,artificial reef area in Wailingding the outer reaches of the Pearl River in Central of Guangdong,and the Longtousha artificial reef area in Lianjiang of western Guangdong are examples of five typical artificial reef areas in Guangdong.Based on the survey data before and after the reefs construction,water quality and sediment are analyzed with entropy-weighted fuzzy matterelement method,and phytoplankton,zooplankton,benthos,fish larvae and fishery resources are analyzed with incremental percentage of biomass,and then the construction effects of artificial reefs are analyzed comprehensively along the coast of Guangdong1.Evaluation of the construction effect of Liuniu artificial reef area in Zhelin Bay eastern GuangdongAfter the establishment of Liuniu artificial reef Area in Zhelin Bay of East Guangdong,the water quality assessment was based on the entropy-weighted fuzzy matter-element method.The comprehensive index before the reef constructed was 0.497,and the comprehensive index after the reef constructed was 0.554.The water quality in the reef area was better than the contrast.The increment percentage of fisheries resources are 165.21%,The increment percentages of phytoplankton abundances are 49.99%,The increment percentage of zooplankton abundances are 327.89%,The increment percentage of benthos biomass are 327.92%,The increment percentage of fish larvae abundances are 78.24%.2.Evaluation of the construction effect of the artificial reef area in Auwu,Southeast of GuangdongAfter the establishment of Wuyu artificial reef area in southeastern Guangdong,the water quality has been well improved.The comprehensive index of the water quality before the reef built was 0.443,and the comprehensive index of the water quality after the reef built was 0.449.After the establishment of reefs,The increment percentage of fisheries resources are 116.03%,The increment percentages of phytoplankton abundances are 896.62%,The increment percentage of zooplankton abundances are 6004.3%,The increment percentage of benthos biomass are 116.26%,The increment percentage of fish larvae abundances are 13822%.3.Evaluation of the construction effect of south Dalajia artificial reef area in Daya Bay in central of GuangdongThe water quality of artificial reefs was slightly better than that before the construction of reefs.The comprehensive index of water quality in reefs before construction was 0.418,and the comprehensive index of water quality in reefs after reef construction was 0.419.The increment percentage of fisheries resources are 6288.15%,The increment percentages of phytoplankton abundances are 100.14%,The increment percentage of zooplankton abundances are 100.48%,The increment percentage of benthos biomass are 106.33%,The increment percentage of fish larvae abundances are 5300%.4.Evaluation of the construction effect of the artificial reef area outside the Pearl River Estuary in GuangdongAfter the establishment of the artificial reef area in the Pearl River Estuary of Guangdong,the water quality was significantly higher than that before the construction of the reef.The comprehensive index of the water quality before the reef construction was 0.308,and the comprehensive index of the water quality after the reef construction was 0.594.The increment percentage of fisheries resources are 350.42%,The increment percentages of phytoplankton abundances are 227.29%,The increment percentage of zooplankton abundances are 5998.61%,The increment percentage of benthos biomass are 8.19%,The increment percentage of fish larvae abundances are 0.95%.5.Evaluation of the construction effect of srtificial reef Area in Leizhou Peninsula,Western GuangdongAfter the artificial reefs of Leizhou Peninsula in western Guangdong were established,the water quality was significantly improved compared with that before the reefs were built.The integrated water quality index before reef construction was 0.459,and the integrated water quality index after reef construction was 0.461.The increment percentage of fisheries resources are 350.42%,The increment percentages of phytoplankton abundances are 227.29%,The increment percentage of zooplankton abundances are 5998.61%,The increment percentage of benthos biomass are 8.19%,The increment percentage of fish larvae abundances are 0.95%.It was found that the changes in water quality and sediments of the Wailingding artificial reef area in Zhuhai after the reef construction were more obvious.The increase in phytoplankton,zooplankton and fish larvae in the Wuyu artificial reef area was significantly higher than that in other reef areas.The increment of fishery resources was most obvious in the south Dalaijia artificial reefs in Daya Bay.The increase of benthos in the Liuniu artificial reef area is higher than that in other reef areas.Overall,after five artificial reef areas were built,the effect of conservation of resources and restore the environment were obvious,and the rehabilitation effect of artificial reefs in Wuyu artificial reef area in Nan’ao is more significant. |
