Mixed breeding can effectively take full advantage of material, improve the breeding environment and contribute to aquaculture sustainable development. This paper evaluated three modes of mixed breeding mixed Apostichopus japonica with Rhopilema esculentum,Penaeus japonicus and juvenile A.japonicas by comparison of water quality and the aquaculture output. It is expected to find an economic optimizing mixted breeding mode and should provide a theoretical basis for improving the utilization efficiency of water, output and ecological environment of A.japonicas aquaculture system.1.Integrated breeding mixed A.japonicas with R.esculentumIn addition to the impact of high temperature on A.japonicas output in the autumn of2016,the results showed that A.japonicas outputs were approximately 45~50kg/mu in each harvesting season from 2015 to 2017.There were no significant differences between control and experimental groups.Integrated breeding with R.esculentum would not affect A.japonicas aquaculture in the same culture ponds. The outputs of R.esculentum were low with average annual output less than 2kg/mu,without obvious increment in 2015-2017.2.Integrated breeding mixed A.japonicas with P.japonicasThe results showed that A.japonicas outputs were approximately 45~50kg/mu in each harvesting season in 2015~2017,with an exception of its output affected by high temperature in the autumn of 2016.There were no significant differences between control and experimental groups, meaning no impact of P.japonicas on A.japonicas aquaculture in the same culture system. The average annual output of P.japonicas was generally maintained at 21kg/mu and the annual increment was 2000~2200 yuan/mu.There was a significant increase in economic income in this polyculture mode, but the high temperature in 2016 lead to the lower output of P.japonicas.3.Integrated breeding mixed adult and juvenile A.japonicasIn this mode, the outputs of A.japonicas were about 45~50kg/mu each harvesting season from 2015 to 2017,but its output was obviously affected by the high temperaturein the autumn of 2016.There were no significant differences between control and experimental groups, indicating integrated breeding with juvenile A.japonicas would not affect A.japonicas aquaculture in the same culture ponds. In 2015~2017,the output of juvenile A.japonicas increased about 5 to 6 times than its input, and the annual average seedling yield was about 7kg/mu.Similarly,the high temperature decreased the output of juvenile A.japonicas in 2016.As indicated by three polycuture modes of A.japonicas, the mode mixed A.japonicas with R.esculentum is not suitable for the experimental ponds. However, the integrated modes with P.japonicas and juvenile A.japonicas improve the utilization efficiency of water, and increase the economic income of aquaculture ponds. It is noteworthy that high temperature has significant impacts on the integrated breeding.Increasing the amount of water exchange of the aquaculture pond would alleviate its effects during summer.
