In the breeding of wheat varieties, investigation of agronomic traits is essential, analysis of correlations between wheat yield-related factors and other traits, can further understand the characteristics of wheat varieties, provide guidance for breeding wheat varieties with a strong combination of advantages. In this experiment, the agronomic characters of six wheat cultivars(lines),including fresh weight, dry weight of single plant of grains, leaves, stems, and glume, and plant heights, single spike weight, and other agronomic traits were analyzed with simple correlation, multiple stepwise regression and path analysis during the period from the grain filling stage to the maturity stage,do a comprehensive evaluation of the characteristics of six wheat varieties(lines),the purpose is to provide a theoretical basis for wheat genetic improvement and breeding applications. The test results are as follows:1.Analysis of agronomic traits such as plant height and stem length under spike of six wheat varieties(lines),the coefficient of variation of wheat traits varies from large to small:grain weight per panicle > kernel per spike> stem length under spike>spike length>thousand-kernel weight> spikelet number> plant height. The results showed that the coefficient of variation of grain weight per panicle and kernels per spike is larger than other characters, the coefficient of variation of plant height is relatively small;comprehensively consider the performance of various traits,Xinong 188 and Xinong 537 had better comprehensive agronomic traits.2.Correlation regression analysis of fresh weight of organs in wheat over a period of time, the results showed that from grain filling stage to maturity stage, there was a negative correlation between fresh weight of grain and leaf, stem and glume respectively. For fresh weight, there were significant or extremely significant positive correlations between fresh weight of leaf and stem of six varieties(lines);there was a very significant negative correlation between fresh weight of leaf, stem, and grain, other species are not significantly related;for fresh weight of leaf and glume, stem and glume, grain and glume, the interrelationships between traits are inconsistent.Regression analysis using fresh weight of grain as the dependent variable, the results showed that some varieties(lines)of independentvariables were rejected,Some varieties(lines)only retain fresh weight of glume and some varieties(lines)only retain fresh weight of leaves.3.Correlation regression analysis of dry weight of organs in wheat over a period of time, the results showed that: from the grain filling stage to the maturity stage, the dry weight of leaves, stems and glume were negatively correlated with grain quality. There were significant or extremely significant positive correlations between dry weight of leaf and stem, leaf and glume of each variety(lines);the relationship between dry weights of leaf and grain, stem and grain, grain and glume, and other cultivars(lines)showed significant or extremely negative correlation with other varieties except some varieties(lines);dry weight of stem and glume show a positive correlation.Regression analysis using dry weights of grain as the dependent variable, the results showed that the independent variables of individual cultivars(lines)did not enter the equation, while the other cultivars produced regression relationships with the different traits of dry weights of leaves, stalks, and glume.4.Correlation regression analysis of agronomic traits such as plant height and stem length under spike, the results showed that there was a significant positive correlation between the stem length under spike, the spike length and thousand-kernel weight;there was a significant positive correlation between grain weight per panicle and kernels per spike;there was a significant positive correlation between spike length and stem length under spike, the correlation between other traits is not significant.Regression analysis shows that spike length is more important for thousand-grain weight;grain weight per panicle and thousand-grain weight have a greater effect on the kernels per spike.Through the analysis shows that the grain weight per panicle has a greater direct impact on the kernels per spike, the indirect effect of thousand-grain weight by grain weight per panicle on the kernels per spike is greater than its own role.In summary, grain weight per panicle is the main factor affecting the kernels per spike.
