Foxtail millet has high nutritional value and is resistant to barrenness. It is an important cereal crop in northern China. In this experiment, the hybrids of “GBS×PDDG” is used as experimental materials to investigate the main agronomic traits of F2 and F2:3 populations.Through normal distribution, correlation, regression, principal component and cluster analysis, analyzing the variation characteristics of main agronomic traits are.Using SSR marker technology,we hope to find molecular markers linked to panicle weight per plant. The main findings are as follows:1.The 11 main agronomic traits of the F2 generation group were analyzed by normal distribution, and 6agronomic traits showed normal distribution.Correlation analysis showed that there were 45 significant correlations between the two traits.According to the correlation with the panicle weight per plant, the equation was: y=-45.629+0.096x1+0.522x2+1.526x3+0.322x4+0.673x5.Among them,x1~x5 represent plant height, main panicle length, fourth internode thick, the 2nd leaf width from top to bottom, and the 3rd leaf width from top to bottom.Principal component analysis showed that the four principal components could represent 11 agronomic traits, and the variance contribution rates were 40.786%,15.219%,11.749%,10.108%,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 77.863%.Based on the Pearson correlation coefficient,11 clusters of agronomic traits can be divided into five groups.2.The 12 major agronomic traits of F2:3 population were analyzed by normal distribution, and four agronomic traits showed normal distribution.Correlation analysis showed that there were 54 significant correlations between the two traits.According to the correlation with the panicle weight per plant, the equation was: y=-42.030+0.198x1+0.229x2-0.553x3+1.628x4+0.438x5+0.169x6.Among them,x1~x6represent plant height, main panicle length, thick in the third internode, fourth internode thick, the 2nd leaf width from top to bottom, and the 3rd leaf width from top to bottom.Principal component analysis showed that the three principal components could represent 12 agronomic traits, the variance contribution rates were 41.986%,15.165%,13.047%,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 70.198%.The cluster analysis of 12 agronomic traits based on Pearson correlation coefficient the F2:3 population was divided into five major groups.3.In this study, two polymorphic SSR markers were used to analyze the hybrid parents and the allelicvariation of the offspring, and the genetic distances from the panicle weight per plant traits were 4.3 c M and 6.6 c M,respectively, initially found the molecular marker of genetic linkage with the panicle weight per plant. In summary, this study analyzed the variation characteristics of agronomic traits of foxtail millet hybrids group, and developed linkage molecular markers related to the panicle weight per plant, which provided theoretical basis and technical support for the breeding of high-yield foxtail millet varieties.
